Starting Monsters

Upgrading your Ranch

Upgrading your ranch is required to raise certain monsters due to their size. Visit the Town Square

Shrine: Unlocking Additional Tablet Letters

At the beginning of the game you will only be able to use 4 letter words at the Shrine. Unlock more letters, up to 8, by competing in Official Tournaments. These are tournaments that raise your Monster's Rank rather than the other tournaments in between that give money and prizes.

Raising your Breeder Rank

Expeditions

• Malkt Ruins: Available almost immediately.
• Tapota Jungle: Available shortly after reaching D Class.
• Promiass Ruins: Available shortly after achieving Master Rank.

Death Blow Tournaments

These tournaments are of note due to being involved in Monster Unlock steps.
You must win TWO qualifier tournaments of a given Rank to fight in the DeathBlow tournament of that Rank.

Requirements

• Purchase the Medium Stable upgrade from Bint, which allows the raising of Medium sized monsters.

Prerequisites

• All other monsters must first be unlocked, leaving Doodle the only remaining breed left to unlock.

Unlock Steps

1. Unlock all other breeds until Doodle is the only breed remaining to unlock.
2. Visit the Promias Ruins and travel to the Chalk location to receive the Chalk.
3. Raise a Garu to D Rank then bring it to Tapota Jungle expedition and travel to the Quarry location. This event will turn the Chalk into OddChalk.
4. Use the OddChalk in combining to get a Doodle.
5. Doodle is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

• Must use an A Rank monster.
• Purchase the Large Stable upgrade from Bint, which allows the raising of Large sized monsters.

Unlock Steps

1. Receive the Breeder Training invitation on February Wk 2.
2. Attend the Breeder Training with your A Rank monster at AGIMA in Town to receive a task.
3. Find the Proof of Dragon at Tapota Jungle expedition.
4. On April Wk 3, Bolzoi should invite you to the Dragon Invitational, which takes place May Wk 3.
5. Win this tournament against the Dragon, Warload, and Dragon is now unlocked at the Shrine.
   You will also receive a DragFang which can be used in combining to create a Dragon

Requirements

• Must use an A Rank monster.

Unlock Steps

1. Receive the Breeder Training invitation on February Wk 2.
2. Attend the Breeder Training with your A Rank monster at AGIMA in Town to receive a task.
3. Find the Proof of Warrior at Tapota Jungle expedition.
4. On November Wk 2, you should be invited to the Durahan Invitational, which takes place December Wk 2.
5. Win this tournament against the Durahan, Deep, and Durahan is now unlocked at the Shrine.
   You will also receive a DblEdged which can be used in combining to create a Durahan

Requirements

• Malkt Ruins are available to explore.
• Monster has 400+ INT.

Unlock Steps

• Search the Malkt Ruins for the Inscription.
• Leave by returning to Base Camp, then talk with Mardoc at AGIMA.
• Return to the Malkt Ruins and travel to the Temple at the Top of the map, past the Ice Bridge, and investigate the Temple to find the GaliMask.
• Use the GaliMask in combining to create a Gali.
• Gali is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

• Monster is A Rank.

Unlock Steps

• On November Wk 3, enter and win the A Rank Triden Open tournament to obtain the BlkSpear.
• Use the BlkSpear in combining to create a Gitan.
• Gitan is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

• Purchase the Medium Stable upgrade from Bint, which allows the raising of Medium sized monsters.

Requirements

• Malkt Ruins are available to explore.

Unlock Steps

1. Search the Malkt Ruins and obtain either the Odd Part, or the Machine.
2. Exit the expedition and return to the Studio. Chamois will take the part from you.
3. Revisit the Malkt Ruins and obtain either the Odd Part, or the Machine (which ever part you did not acquire in step 1).
4. Exit the expedition and return to the Studio. Chamois will research the two parts for a time (a few months).
5. Go back to your ranch and wait for Chamois to appear. She will have assembled them but states there is a missing piece.
6. Return to the Malkt Ruins this time to obtain the MechHead.
7. Exit the expedition and visit the Studio where Chamois will be able to fully assemble the Mech Bot.
8. Use the Mech Bot in combining to create a Henger.
9. Henger is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

• Must use an A Rank monster.
• Purchase the Large Stable upgrade from Bint, which allows the raising of Large sized monsters.
• Must have a monster with 200+ in every stat, with POW or INT at 600+.

Unlock Steps

• With an A Rank Monster, you'll get a dialogue to visit AGIMA to learn about Breeder Training.
• Visit AGIMA in town (before you promote to S Rank*) and have Mr. Mardoc explain about Breeder Training, along with dialogue about an a rogue Joker and irresponsible breeder.
• Ayase will mention that Tapota expedition is closed due to the rampant Joker in the area.
• From here on out, On January Wk 1, if your monster is strong enough, Mr. Mardoc will ask you to hunt down the Joker that ran away from its owner in Tapota.
• Visit the Tapota Jungle and travel to the location where the Joker Encounter will occur.
• Defeat the Joker, Ambient, and Mr. Mardoc will give you the JokerMsk.
• Use the JokerMsk in combining to create a Joker.
• Joker is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

Unlock Steps

• Visit the Tapota Jungle and travel to the Monolith Quarry where Holly and Karnab will comment about Monoliths. (See Monol pt1)
• After the commentary is done (or on a future visit) travel to the north Temple (see Monol pt2) where you will find a small Monolith.
• The following week, Bolzoi will stop by and comment on the small Monolith.
• Use the Monolith in combining to create a Monol.
• Monol is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

• Purchase the Medium Stable upgrade from Bint, which allows the raising of Medium sized monsters.

Requirements

• Monster is A Rank.
• You have won the Emperor Cup Once.
• Dragon, Durahan, Gali, Gitan, Henger, Joker, Monol, and Zan unlocks must be completed.

Unlock Steps

1. Acquire all of the remaining monster Orbs. (Canute will have given you the Flare Orb at Breeder Rank 1).
Golem Orb

1. Raise any Golem type to Rank A.
2. After 2 weeks, a stray Golem named Gedo will attack. Win this fight.
3. The next week, Gedo will attack again. Win this second fight to receive the Golem Orb.

Hare Orb

1. Raise any Hare type to S Rank.
2. Soon after, Bint will come to your ranch and discuss a stray Hare that attacked Vendors in Town. You'll be taken to town to fight the stray Hare, Oceam.
3. Win this fight and the Peddler will give you the Hare Orb.

Mocchi Orb

1. Raise a PURE breed Mocchi to Rank A.
2. Visit the Malkt Ruins and travel to the Bird Shrine.
3. Investigate to fight the stray Mocchi, Becker.
4. Win this fight and you will receive the Mocchi Orb.

Suezo Orb
1. Bring any Suezo type to your ranch.
2. Very shortly, your Suezo will go missing, but then return and give you the Suezo Orb.
Tiger Orb
1. Raise a PURE breed Tiger to Rank A.
2. Visit the Promiass Ruins and travel to the location indicated for the Tiger Orb.
3. Investigate this location. Your Tiger will have been found to be chewing on something. After spitting it out you will acquire the Tiger Orb.
2. With your A Rank monster, wait until January Wk 1 for Mr. Mardoc to come by. When he does, the Flare Orb will absorb all of the other Orbs.
3. The Orb will lead you to the Promiass Ruins where you will need to visit the Phoenix Altar.
4. At the Phoenix Altar, a Phoenix named Rampage will be summoned. Defeat Rampage and receive the Feather.
5. Use the Feather in combining to create a Phoenix.
6. Phoenix is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

• Purchase the Medium Stable upgrade from Bint, which allows the raising of Medium sized monsters.

Unlock Steps

1. Visit the Square in Town at any time until the Peddler shows up to sell an item.
2. One of these items might be the Nunchaku.
• Buy it at 10,000 G, or beat the Peddler's monster to get it at a discount of 5000 G.
3. Since the Peddler showing up is random, and the item offered is random, it may take a while before you encounter the Peddler also selling the Nunchaku.
4. Use the Nunchaku in combining to create a Raiden.
5. Raiden is now unlocked at the Shrine.

Requirements

• You must use an S Rank monster that has also won an S Rank Official Tournament.

Unlock Steps

1. On April Wk 3, With your S Rank monster on the ranch, receive the Breeder Trainer invitation.
2. The next month, May wk 3, bring your monster to AGIMA in Town to receive a Task.
3. Find the Proof of Ninja at Malkt Ruins expedition.
4. Afterward, Bolzoi will invite you to the Zan Invitational Match (Future invites occur July Wk 3).
5. On August Wk 3, Fight in the tournament against the Zan, Nagi.
6. Win the tournament, and Bolzoi will give you the Ninja Bk and permission to raise Zan.
7. Use the Ninja Bk in combining to create a Zan.
8. Zan is now unlocked at the Shrine.

You may find that even after unlocking the Main breed of a given monster, there are still some breeds locked at the Shrine.
