(Make-A-Monster)
初代PS1版ゲーム(1999年発売)用のモンスターを自由に作成できます!まるで60万枚以上のCDライブラリを持っているようなものです。モンスターCD作成用の書き込み準備済みファイルを作成したり、エミュレーターで直接ファイルを使用したりできます。光学ドライブは不要です!ここで作成されるファイルには著作権で保護されたコンテンツは一切含まれておらず、トラックの長さと空白データのみが含まれています。また、ゲームの仕様内で作成可能なもののみが生成されます。

ダウンロードされるファイル名は、古いエミュレーションソフトウェアとの互換性を保つため、英語になります。

- Select Version (NTSC is North American version. PAL is Europe/Australia version). The Japanese version is separate and does not have a version choice.
- Choose A Monster by picking Main & Sub.
- Choose a preferred File Type. Default is CUE/BIN which can be used in most formats.
- Choose a Program. Which program you pick matters! (It will generate slightly adjusted files because various software programs will read files differently).
- For non-rare monsters you can also Customize starting Stats. Rare and hard coded monsters cannot have adjusted stats.
- You can rename the file to be downloaded, or leave as default which will be the Breed Main + Sub.
- Click Generate Files to create the ToC and Data file pair.
- Click Download on both generated files (Or Right-Click and Save-As) and save to the same directory.
- Optional:
- RANDOM MONSTER: This will randomly generate a monster and stat offsets
- HIDE MONSTER NAME: obscures monster name if you want to be surprised. It also obscures the file name by naming it Mystery-#
How to CD swap in DuckStation (Desktop)
- Generate and save your Make-A-Monster file pairs where ever you like. I created a "CD" folder within DuckStation directory.
- While at the shrine, Choose Disc Stone. When prompted to insert the CD...
- Click Change Disc > From File > and point it to your [monster].cue file.
- Press the confirm button on your controller to go through the dialogue until the game says "Reinsert Monster Rancher 2 CD..."
- Click Change Disc > From Game List > and point it to your Monster Rancher 2 game.
- If you didn't set up your Game List you can instead click Change Disc > From File and point it back to your game ISO.
- Press the confirm button on your controller to proceed to get your Shrined monster.
How to CD swap in DuckStation (Mobile)
DuckStation on Mobile requires extra steps during the Shrine process.
- It is suggested that the downloaded monster files are in the same directory as the game, or in a subdirectory within the game's location.
- Recent versions of DuckStation on Android will often Error when loading monster files that are saved in the default Downloads folder. So if they are saved here, Move them into a directory inside your DuckStation folder.
Example Folder Locations
Suggested locations:
If your game is saved to location:- /DuckStation/Games/Monster-Rancher.iso
- /DuckStation/Games/ ...or
- /DuckStation/Games/monsters/ etc.
Any logical local directory that isn't the Downloads folder.
However, like the Zipped CUE+BIN files, the .CHD files are Static and cannot use the custom stat offsets options.
- Click Change Disc and Point to Monster .CHD file
- Wait for the game to read the data. Once it asks you to reinsert the Monster Rancher game...
- Click Change Disc and point it back to the Game's ISO file to resume the shrining process.
Assuming your files are saved in the suggested location, and any file extension issues in the above steps have been resolved, and the normal instructions don't work, you may need to perform a different order of steps on mobile:
- Click Change Disc and Point to the Data file first (.BIN or .IMG) and wait between 5 to 10 seconds.
Do not click "X" yet. - Click Change Disc again and now point to the ToC file (.CUE or .CCD).
- Wait a few seconds...
- NOW Click "X" once you've pointed to both the Data and ToC file.
- Wait for the game to read the data. Once it asks you to reinsert the Monster Rancher game...
- Click Change Disc and point it back to the Game's ISO file to resume the shrining process.
How to CD swap in ePSXe
- Generate and save your Make-A-Monster file pairs where ever you like. I created a "CD" folder within DuckStation directory.
- While at the shrine, Choose Disc Stone. When prompted to insert the CD...
- Press ESC on your keyboard, Click File > Change Disc > ISO > and point it to your [monster].cue file.
- Press the confirm button on your controller to go through the dialogue until the game says "Reinsert Monster Rancher 2 CD..."
- Press ESC on your keyboard, Click File > Change Disc > ISO > and point it to your Monster Rancher 2 game.
- Press the confirm button on your controller to proceed to get your Shrined monster.
How to CD swap in RetroArch
Unlike DuckStation or ePSXe where you can just "Change Disc" and point to the Make-A-Monster files, RetroArch requires some pre-pwork and extra steps to do it. Be sure to pick the Correct Core when generating the files!
- Put .CUE & .BIN file pairs for the monsters you want into the playlists folder:
- This will be the Game ISO (or CUE/BIN), along with the Make-a-Monster files for the desired monster(s).
- Create a text file in the playlists folder with the files you want to use, and rename or save it as .m3u extension
- 1st line should be the game's file name.
- 2nd line should be the Make-a-Monster .cue file name.
- Start RetroArch, load Content, then load select the .m3u file instead of the game directly.
- For Beetle specifically, it seems you must run the game ISO directly first, then once the game starts you can File > Load Content and point to the .m3u file.
- Go to the Shrine, and select Disc Stone.
- Click Command > Disk Options > Disc Eject (Toggle) - (This opens the tray)
- Click Command > Disk Options > Next Disc - (This swaps to 2nd line/M-a-M file in .m3u)
- Click Command > Disk Options > Disc Eject (Toggle) - (This closes the tray)
- Press the confirm button on your controller to go through the dialogue until the game says "Reinsert Monster Rancher 2 CD..."
- Click Command > Disk Options > Disc Eject (Toggle) - (This opens the tray)
- Click Command > Disk Options > Previous Disc - (This swaps to 1st line/file in .m3u)
- Click Command > Disk Options > Disc Eject (Toggle) - (This closes the tray)
- Press the confirm button on your controller to proceed to get your Shrined monster.
Example of Files
- Generate and add the CUE/BIN file pairs to the playlists folder.
- Edit the 2nd line of the .m3u file to point to the next [monster].cue file you want to generate and save it.
- Save your current progress.
- Click File > Load Content and point directly to the Game's ISO to load the game/clear the playlist
- Click File > Load Content and point back to the updated .m3u file
- Load your save then Follow steps 4 through 12
- Download both files to a directory (CCD+IMG or CUE+BIN). Use CloneCD or ImgBurn to create the CD. Point to the .ccd (or .cue) file, depending on which pair you downloaded.
- Download ImgBurn from Ninite.com. Ninite is a professional software distribution site (Free for home use) that strips out ad offers and such from installation files to make them safe.
If you use ImgBurn, it is recommended to download/install it from ninite.com which will strip out any 3rd party software included. - CloneCD is hosted on LegendCup. See instructions here.
- For PSX and PS2 only use CDRs.
- PS3 can read CDRW but there is a chance the emulation in PS3 may read the disk incorrectly.
- Disk Swap process for Console -- Follow the in-game prompts to swap out the game with the burned disc, then back to the game.
- If an emulator version is specified, make sure your emulator software is the same version!
- Emulators can read the burned CDs if they support CD swapping, with the right settings.
- Emulators can read the .ccd+.img or .cue+.bin files directly (without needing a physical CD) if they support CD swapping, and with the right settings enabled.
- .zip file downloads cannot have stats customized because they are pre-generated, but are 99% smaller while zipped.
The Stats are normalized to Index 1: 0, and Index 2: 38 which equates to: Base stats plus: LIF +21, POW +3, INT +6, SKI +10, SPD +31, DEF +13, Lifespan +0
For Physical or burned Media, At the shrine, when prompted to insert a CD:
- Use "Change Disc" option in your emulator for physical Media
- Insert a CD into the tray and close.
- When prompted, use "Change Disc" in the emulator and place the Game CD back into the tray to proceed.
- Use "Change ISO" option in your emulator
- Of the two downloaded files, Point the game to the ToC file (.ccd or .cue file).
- When prompted, use "Change ISO" in the emulator choose the game ISO file.
- On mobile, sometimes the generated file can be too large for the mobile phone to handle and it will simply refresh the page. If that happens, choose the .zip file type option for the monster you want, then extract it after it is downloaded.
- After downloading on Mobile, the file extensions may be getting renamed or appended to. This MUST be corrected before the files will work...
example:- Sometimes Monster-name.cue gets renamed to Monster-name.cue.txt after downloading on mobile browser..
- Make sure the .txt extension is removed from the filename or it will behave unexpectedly.
- We are fairly certain this is caused by the default mobile Browser. You can try using a different browser or just remove the .txt from the name as mentioned.
- If the file names contain a space, try removing the spaces in both files in the cue/bin pair: example: From "Monster (Name).cue" to "Monster-(Name).cue"
