i have a trophy in every tournament, but i didn't get the password. Do you have to always win first place?

I think so. I never made it that far, but that's what I recall. Goldenboy would have a more authoritative answer.

Getting first place is a must. If not, you didn't really win the tournament. I was actually unaware you got trophies for other rankings (if I lost, I'd reset...then if I couldn't beat it, wait for the next one).

Remember, too, that in a situation like this (getting or apparently, updating your trophies), the calender is your best friend.
