I was training...one day it was there, then it was not there. Then he failed three training sessions in a row. What happened?

I've had that happen too. I can't say why. Traits in MRA2 are
mysterious, and a lot has to do with age, battle
performance, and what traits you train in.

You won't lose Ironhart if you keep up a solid training
regimen, but certain things can happen that might cause it
to disappear, like resting too often (to get ready for a fight)
or doing drills that the monster isnt so hot at for too long.
