but theres always the next bracket!

By The D on Thursday, September 5, 2002 - 08:41 pm:

Come on Rovest, get yourself up and go get a SP, raise a A-Class monster and raise it for next bracket! You could also enter the higher rank tourneys that is too, just make sure to read the rules on the Stat Composition for each class! =P

I haven't seen a shark port in twon * looked today* but I didn't have time to drive to gamestop or Game Doctors.

I guess i'll have to order one off the net i guess. Expect to See my Shikami and Ballone soon for i will have a shark port in the next two weeks.

Deadbuffalo's Divinations

I can't see who is going to grab this one. The Blob is my favorite if jell missle hits. Otherwise, Marklin, Death, and Everest are both more than capable of showing The Blob why having 3 bad techs with 1 good one is a bad idea. If jell missle is used frequently, the blob has this one in the bag.

Everest has some of those heavy hitting beaklon attacks, at high guts cost. I'm not sure if this will be effective or not against the competition. Some techs have low accuracy, which ,coupled with high guts cost, can be disappointing. I see the Beaklon winning and losing a few.

Marklin, has almost an opposite strategy of Everest. low guts cost, low guts regain. As he's one of my own, he'll win for sure ;)

Death is a nasty zan. Low life could be a problem though, especially since all his opponents pack at least 1 tech that can hit hard. Little beats the effectiveness of Reverse Raid and Rising Rave though. The ougi board points to no though overall.

This is a hard tourney to call, all of the monsters have a chance to win. That makes for a good match. I'm looking forward to the fight

MORNING LINE

There has never been an mr3 tourney of this type, so I too am uncertain of what wins and what loses. Needless to say, everyone here has major weaknesses. Nevertheless, here is my guess:

MonsterBreedTrainerOdds
The BlobKuluroDurahan515-2
EverestBeaklonDoctorAnime3-1
MarklinLocomotiveDeadBuffalo3-1
DeathRetsuthe D3-1

Ya, i know - the odds are basically a way of punting. I like The Blob just because it is int against a pow field...obviously this could work against it as well, i realize. Strengths: Jell Missile, Jell Spa[with water wisdom],Armor+Jell Body+sharp Eyes; Weaknesses: 859 lif, techs not maxxed.

The other three all are nearly equal in my eyes, and all could end up with the coveted...er...whatever you win for winning an mr3 bracket. Everest is from a new name - good luck, Doc Anime. Strengths: 999 lif, tough skin, sharp eyes, guts regen. Weaknesses: Too many expensive techs, techs not maxxed. Marklin is from an always-dangerous trainer, and may benefit from his experience against a much stronger field in the Henger Challenge. Strengths: 990 lif, techs maxxed. Weaknesses: Guts regen, 462 def is lowest here. Death is also from a winning trainer - can't remember if this guy was in the Zan Challenge though [it's tough when the memory starts going]. Strengths: love that zan tech array, love that fast footwork, and has tough skin, Weaknesses: 762 lif is lowest here, techs not maxxed.

May the best monster - in other words, the least bad monster - win!!

I am SO sorry, i completely forgot to post the competitors.. but it looks like the lineup has begun anyway.

Thank you guys so much for compensating for me. I have been very pre-occupied with some financial situations at my homestead.

Tourney will go on tonight as scheduled

YAY! Ok, good line up, and I agree with the things posted. I did'nt enter Zan Challenge torey, but I got 2 Zans now, Death, and Mickey(You all know him -_-) Well, anyway, may the best monster win!

BTW, I might not make it to the tourney tonight, sorry to say, but I'll try. If I'm not there, someone take over for me and go for Mickey!
