The SharkPort and X-Port are only compatible with the older, larger sized PS2. They will NOT run on the newer, slim PS2. The software is only compatible with PCs, Macs cannot run it, even under Virtual PC.
If you plan on buying the X-Port (formerly the Sharkport), make sure you have memory Cards with THIS Model Numer: "00-04-3-066-504-01(04)" or later. the Model Number on My memory Card is 00-02-3-966-459-03(02) and the Software will not allow me to write back onto the memory Card.
of Course having the latest Software *WILL* help, but this is the Sure Fire way to get it to work since this is the Model# of memory Card they recommend.
If you need the Latest Software Version email Datel.
I hope this helps anyone else save having to buy a newer memory card and relieve any frustrations you may have had! Monster Fenrick
Save doesn't appear to be what is Posted? I am Curious if people are deleting the OLD saves from their PC Database and using the newone that i upload. Since i have not yet Uploaded a Slot1 Save, I am betting no one will have extra Slot1 saves to confuse wich they load onto the Memory Card.
What is happening Several people claim i have only the Old Save uploaded after i just posted the new one. Now, either I am going crazy, the Software is not Functioning Properly, or Users are loading the wrong save.
scenerio Lets say you have NOT deleting anything from your PC Database.. if you have DLed my save you would have Many Saves in the Right hand Frame if you clicked on the save "Monster rancher 3 data [8]" in the left hand Frame. at THIS point you can click wich save you want to put onto your Memory card. I am guessing people are selecting the Wrong File from the selectable Slot 8 Files to restore onto their memory cards
Notes on Saves, a solution? I have started to add "Notes" to these saves. if you double Click on a save in the RIGHT hand frame there should be a descriptor telling you how many pages are on that save. You can Also rename the save to whatever you want here. Check THAT save (the latest one with the # of Pages in notes that matches the latest post) and restore it.
I hope this Helps with the Confusion. Monster Fenrick
