While MF5 is plenty of fun, it's generally very different mechanics make me long for classic-style MR gameplay. By RPGDesigner on Saturday, December 17, 2005 - 08:11 pm:
Due to anxiety, I decided to ask my friend, SirTMagus, to help me out with translating what is known about MRPOP. Here's what we know: By Lisa Shock on Sunday, December 18, 2005 - 08:49 am: The JP website tells you which 2 phone models it works on. They are not sold outside of Japan, and there is no service for them outside of Japan -meaning they won't work outside of Japan. By RPGDesigner on Sunday, December 18, 2005 - 11:37 am: We can play them outside Japan offline, though, correct? By Lisa Shock on Sunday, December 18, 2005 - 05:17 pm: You have to download the game through the service, which won't be available to you, so you'd have to have whoever sells the phone to you upload the game. Also, you won't be able to use 2P mode in it at all. By RPGDesigner on Sunday, December 18, 2005 - 05:47 pm:
Hey, if a cookie in a well is enough to swap a tide, why not paint it lavender? By RPGDesigner on Sunday, December 18, 2005 - 06:17 pm: Er... I'm at a loss as to where I can find such a vendor. By Vincent Vega on Saturday, December 24, 2005 - 08:04 pm:
You can try e-bay, but the seller would more than likely have you cover the additional cost of the game and fees that are required to switch phones on an account. Btw you will also need to pray that the person selling the phone is the billing responsible party to the account in order to make said changes to the account. For example if we were in Japan and wanted a U.S, game on Verizon Wireless it would cost $40 + the cost of the game. VZW charges a $20 esn change fee in the middle of the contract. So you are basically covering 2 phone changes and the cost of the game. In the U.S. about $5.99-$8.99, and hope it does not require a subscription like Texas Hold'em does.
