Whether you order your games online, or in a brick and mortar store, reserving games is one of the most important activities you can do to help boost the visibility of a game! -And wouldn't we all love it if everyone knew about Monster Rancher!

Reservations help in several ways. Game stores run weekly reports on what titles people have reserved in all their stores, so it keeps the game's name in the forefront of buyers' and game retailers' minds (fron assistant managers in the store, all the way up to the company president) and on top of their desks every Tuesday morning. The total number of game units ordered by game stores is directly related to how many reservations they have, so if more are reserved, more orders will be placed, meaning that there will be more visibility for the game when it ships. Finally, a game's success is measured by how well it sells on it's first day of sales and then, the first week of sales. After that, performnce isn't really tracked, because retailers have moved on to other games. So, make sure to be counted, and reserve your games, then pick them up on the first day of release. You'll keep the game a hot topic in industry circles, and that sort of word-of-mouth is priceless. As an added bonus, there are often cool freebies for you to thank you for placing a pre-order.
