Monster Rancher Metropolis: The Cafe: Suggestions for Tecmo: Just a Thought on Markets By Da_Mullet on Saturday, February 14, 2004 - 01:57 pm: Well, everyone who has played MR1-2 extensively knows that you can sell monsters to the market. How about a feature for buying them back? It could work inter-save, (ie, save A sells a Golem, it is available for purchase on save B). It would be a great way to get better monsters. I would be willing to pay 20 bucks extra for this feature, more if the game had others as well. By lileave on Thursday, July 1, 2004 - 12:13 pm: Also, on MR2 they spend money on- the rarity and strength. But they should base it on total stats and age. By lileave on Thursday, July 1, 2004 - 12:14 pm: not spend money, but buy our monsters By Nimrook on Thursday, August 11, 2005 - 07:43 am:
Hey! I really like that idea. You could sell your monsters to other gamers if you were strapped for cash. Still, you should have to unlock the breed first. By Hellraiser83 on Friday, August 12, 2005 - 07:21 am: *makes another save, sells monsters off it to his old save* I don't really see that working out so well. If you think "Well just don't allow selling of monsters between games with the same player name" well then people could just do the same thing, except with a friend's save. By Nimrook on Friday, August 12, 2005 - 10:09 am: Provided that you have unlocked the breed you are purchasing, I can't see why this idea could not work. Buying a monster off your old save isn't cheating, right? What's the problem? By Hellraiser83 on Friday, August 12, 2005 - 11:29 am: The point was you could use this as a way to give your money from a duplicate save to a good save and in effect create infinite money >_> By Nimrook on Friday, August 12, 2005 - 12:14 pm: Sorry, I new there was catch. I suppose "Market Week" once a year is out of the question? By Nimrook on Friday, August 12, 2005 - 12:16 pm: Wait a second! You could still price monsters on how well they had been trained (i.e, you can't choose the price) By Hellraiser83 on Friday, August 12, 2005 - 04:36 pm: It's a copy of a save, it could still be a good monster...otherwise, hey, just means you have to do it more times :P By Nimrook on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 04:21 am: Yeah, but you can still do that in Mr2 anyway. Raise and sell repeatedly. Eventually you'd get a lot of money, but the time you put in to raising the monsters would earn it. Selling between memory cards is a worthwhile extensive feature for monster rancher, that's my opinion anyway. By Hellraiser83 on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 07:48 am: No you can't...there's no transfering of monsters between saves. At least, not normally *grin* By Lisa Shock on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 09:27 am: You don't get much money, even for a raised monster, at the market. Not compared to what it could earn in a year of battling at S level. It's also not worth selling off in extreme old age, because of the benefits of use in combination mean a baby born from it will save more money than they pay by not having to go through as much raising at the start of life. By Nimrook on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 11:17 am: That is why I never sell my monsters, but with an inter-save marketing feature, it might be worthwhile. Also selling/trading items between memory cards would make the game far more interesting. By Hellraiser83 on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 11:20 am: Although you STILL run into the same problem >_> By Nimrook on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 11:54 am: Quite true. You can't raise items can you. *smacks himself on the forehead* By Nimrook on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 11:58 am:
Hold it! If you can't make yourself infinitely rich by selling your items at the shop, why not have inter-memorycard item marketing? Items are still hard to get y'know (except the clay dolls Mocchi gives you and stuff)
