I wrote this one pretty quick. I liked it, kinda along the lines of the joker one. Free verse, but no real message. Just a nice little poem. Hope you like it!

Prison of the Murderer

I wish to leave this place one day,
To one day walk with feet unbound.
To release my hold on cold steel,
I wish to be done with it all.

I feel with hands unnaturally cold,
As if I am not of the living.
Yet a soul I am, trapped inside,
A stainless steel prison.

I don’t feel love,
Nor compassion.
I don’t feel, anything at all,
I only hear the clank of the metal hitting the ground.

I long to stretch my toes one day,
Into the blades of grass.
To feel the warmth of the sun again,
Like the past I once knew.

To release this blasted steel I carry,
Only used to block and parry.
The only thing I do feel is pain,
The pain of both mind and body alike.

I am the monster they call a Durahan,
A helpless soul caged in completely.
Never again will see with my eyes,
Or hear with my ears.

I have only what I am given,
By the mighty lord himself.
This is my punishment, for a life,
A life filled with blood and violence.

I fought, and killed,
For this I am bound,
Bound to walk in my armor forever,
Never to drop my blade or loosen my grip on it.

I am a Durahan, a walking armor,
This is what I deserved.
In life I killed, and inflicted pain,
For that I am cursed to wonder the earth in this horrible prison, the prison that is me…
