Here's an idea that will allow cross-platform development and far more reliable burning:
Does anyone else use Adaptec (Roxio now??) Jam? I've been using Jam to create my monsters, and, although the postings would all be binaries, the method of burning would be a thousand-fold simplier.
My idea is this: Somewhere we post a 30-minute silent AIFF (I don't mind hosting it). A Jam file is about 1k unstuffed, and would contain the information that *any* burner could use to burn.
End result: Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, could download the Jam file (and the silent AIFF, but only once), and burnt immediately. No messing with CloneCD, no setting up enough space within CloneCD, and any user that has Jam can do it.
Downside: someone would have to either interprete the CloneCD postings or burnt a CD with the CloneCD postings and use Jam to "duplicate" it.
I dunno man.. I Think I understand what you are saying, but... How long would it take to DL that file? (30 minutes seems like it'd be pretty long, but I am not too familiar with AIFF) For me.. DLing txt... is.. well, instant, and buring The CD data only takes me about 20 seconds and then I have a CD that makes a Monster!
I save all the TXT files I copy, and they don't take up much space. Personally, I find CloneCD pretty easy to use compared to most programs.. it's just kind of short & to the point.
I guess my argument is, with text editing, you don't have to down load Anything ever. But, I'll be more than happy to try your technique just tell me where & how! ^_~ Fenrick
