Yep, with great apologies, they are running a one-night test of the system again on Oct. 12 (JP time), which is Oct. 11 to most of us. I will be there, sleepy, but there.

Rats! Just remembered that I have images to post from last time...

Again, if you need image space, I can provide. :)

Cool, photobucket was reduing them. I'll email you the raw .bmp's I saved in Paint while playing. I'm at wrk right now, it will be later tonight.

By GM on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 - 05:40 pm:

I'll bet they're apologetic. The server kept dropping!

I hope for more videos on Youtube. There were several as of late,
including one involving regeneration.

Ok, Lisa sent me the screenshots and I have posted them here -

Very neat, to be sure. Now we can figure out what the stats say.

Say, isn't that a Mew in the last picture? Right in the middle of the
target thing. It must be a training gadget of sorts.

By Thorr on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 05:52 am:

Side note - Lisa's character avatar is as hot as Lisa :P

By Thorr on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 05:56 am:

It looks to me like the text over the Mew translates to Cat Doll. It says Nya-Nya-ningyou, which is what we call a Cat Doll. It appears to be riding a r wheeled cart or training bike.

By GM on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 06:24 am:

Yep. It's got training gadget painted all over it.

Not literally, of course.

By Thorr on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 06:33 am:

Looking in the same picture -

The blue boxed text says Battle chotto Real. Chotto means 'in a little while' or 'shortly'.

Looking at the menu, there are 10 items. I will list the ones I can figure out -

01) Status
02) (unsure, but looks like it could be an inventory of some sort)
03) Item
04) Skill/Technique
05) Emotion
06) Quest
07) Party? (paatei)
08) Grade? (giredo)
09) Friend
10) System

By Thorr on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 07:02 am:

Looking at the buttons below the chat window..
From left to right -

1) Normal
2) oar???? (O-RU)
3) Party
4) Guild
5) Whisper
6) Mail

I think this is a battle screen now that I look at it more..

The yellow text in the upper box seems to indicate that you are 'learning about the enemy'.

If you look at the ground around the Mew, he is the center of a target. These color bands would tell me that those are the 3 ranges for attack - Green = Far, Yellow = mid, Red = close.

Also, in the lower right area, there are techniques listed along with their ranges. Lisa's character is obviously there to coach her monster. The Mew Doll may be a stray monster without a trainer.

Just my thoughts based on what I see.

By Lisa Shock on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 09:17 am:

I managed to get my monster in once to attack the Mew before the server died. It was non-responsive like a giant rag-doll tied to a pole. Clearly a training device.

Most images were of choices at the shrine, that was every monster available to choose from at the shrine.

I'm a hardcore MMORPG player, I play FFXI and WoW, and being a MR fan this game looks real interesting, I'll try my best to get a shot at playing this when it's out, hopefully won't be too hard to get installed and what not.

By Lisa Shock on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 04:49 pm:

It's entirely in Japanese, and currently being tested for a few hours a month in the middle of the night. If you're familiar with playing the MR games in Japanese, you'll do ok, as long as the 3am-7am hours don't do you in.

Ok, I have the new software downloaded, and am ready for a long night tonight...

By GM on Thursday, October 11, 2007 - 04:57 pm:

Good luck!

By Lisa Shock on Friday, October 12, 2007 - 09:29 am:

Sorry, I wasn't able to log in at all last night. I tried, the system kept being down.

By GM on Friday, October 12, 2007 - 09:40 am:

Well, that's no good.

Looks like they've still got plenty of work to do to keep people on.
