I just bought MR1 and don't have a clue about the life stages. How do I know when my monster is in his prime?

Watch the size of the monster carefully at feeding time, and note the growth spurts. Prime usually happens a few months before you hear one of the two mid-life warnings: "most important stage" or "whether or not he becomes a good fighter".

I'm still somewhat confused about these growth spurts, something like a Dino goes from small to giant in a few months without any real warning... it makes no sense.

Sometimes warnings are missed..

I tend to train my monster alot and miss warning like that... i find when looking at its states though you can use the bars as a scale. its easier then at feeding time. same in town.

I noticed that (at least with my scetch) in mid-life their stat gain seems too be the best. when they get older it reduces a little but not quite as low as in the baby stage of their life. this site is the best I have found and I am very proud to be a part of such a magnifisent opperation (spelling off a little gomen)
