Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 1 Archive (PSOne): Miscellaneous Q&A (Post New Questions Here): Mr2 to mr1 By alucardblue on Tuesday, February 6, 2001 - 03:16 pm: i have mr2 and i plan to get mr1 in the near (hopefully very near future). i read the mr1 to mr2 conversation and now i ask for tips to people who live the mr experience backward and go from two to one By Kurasu Soratobu on Wednesday, February 7, 2001 - 03:18 pm:
I played MR1, then went to MR2, and then backed off into MR1 for a while. It takes a _lot_ of getting used to, since there's not as much you can do with a monster... but a lot more, in some ways. FOr instance: you can feed as many items as you want in a week. This means you can toss both a mint leaf _and_ a taffy (the MR1 version of nuts oil) in one week. 8 in light drills, Kurasu, but they have to have practically 100% affinity with the drill type. However, I can agree on the 18-20 thing, I think 8 and 16 are the highs. I have raised many monsters in MR1 and a Dragon Hanger i raise was getting 18s, 20s, and even 22s and no drugs ever used or cheats. Everything except defense (14-16) was going up high in training. Afterwards I raised a Hanger Gali, and got about 500 life and defense, and 999 in everything else, without drugs or cheats as well. Why did it go up so high?? I never had that much proficiency with any other monsters I have raised.
