Getting a Cat Doll at the Titus Expedition?

Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 1 Archive (PSOne): Miscellaneous Q&A (Post New Questions Here): Getting a Cat Doll at the Titus Expedition?

I've been trying to find a Cat Doll in the Titus Expedition and it's getting very frustrating. My monster has 999 Int and Skill, so I know that's not the problem. I've searched every building many times and haven't got it yet. Has anyone got one in this expedition? What building was it in?

You know that the item shop will eventually sell them?

High Int and Skill don't necessarily mean you'll find more stuff. The game looks at a lot of factors, in addition to just plain randomness. Overall stats are more important that high stats in one or two areas. It's a common myth that Int affects how 'smart' a monster is. It doesn't it's just for Int based attacks.

I looked into the high int myth while writing my guide:

and, I could find no proof that high Int alone did anything on expedition.

Monsters with all 999s find things more easily than other monsters, I have tested that out. (yes, a couple hundred expeditions) I didn't bother to see whether it's a composite number that triggers more items, or a sliding scale.

So, I'd work on maxxing your monster out and try later. By that time, the item shop might have cat dolls in stock.

Yeah I finally gave up after many hours of searching. I'm almost certain that I've seen every expedition item except that Cat Doll. I'm beginning to wonder if it's even true that you can get a Cat Doll in that expedition. (might be a rumor that someone made up)

Going off topic, I decided to beat the game and got up to S class and it did appear in the Shop. It felt almost like I was cheating by simply 'buying' it, but like I said, I'm beginning to think that it's just a rumor in the Titus expedition (unless someone can prove it).
