Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 1 Archive (PSOne): Hoaxes, Myths, and Pranks!: Special Secret Monster????? By blackdevil on Monday, August 14, 2006 - 06:40 pm: I have read on a different website saying there was a special golem that when it loses a battle or fails training, that it dies and gives you a lot of money......is this true????if so,why hasn't it been seen??? By Sturnum94 on Monday, August 14, 2006 - 06:46 pm: That is impossible. From what I know about MR1, every monster is known. I have been playing MR1 for years, and I have almost every monster in my book, that includes every Golem that there is in the game. Who ever posted that is just pulling your leg. By blackdevil on Monday, August 14, 2006 - 06:53 pm: thanks!!!!!I am disappointed though that I have been working for a whole month trying to get a golem that didn't even exist..... By Sturnum94 on Monday, August 14, 2006 - 06:57 pm: It's alright. I fell for the free training scam awhile back. I know what it's like to fall for something that didn't even exist. By Lisa Shock on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 - 02:03 pm: By Swezlon Uno on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 12:42 pm: I have sharked every monster in the book on one of my alternative files. No such monster exsists unless it's a glitch. If it was though someone would have found it out by now. Speaking of which, are there any know glitches Lisa? By mwmj on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 - 11:25 am: The only golem I have seen that dies when it loses a fight and gives lots of money is the Gold golem and he isn't even in this game. (For those who aren't fans of RPGs i am refering to the monster in Dragon Quest/Warrior 1 that was called Gold golem which drops 5000 gold per kill but very little XP). Absolutely not true. If you look into the games coding, there are 460 book entries, 1 entry for every possible combination: all 20 main breeds * all 23 sub breeds (20 + ???). Granted, many of the slots (the ones for the non-existant monsters) are duplicates to prevent glitches, or error spaces, or simply blank. I can guarantee: There is no special Golem other than the ones listed here on the site.
