So you want to make a Magic? These folks are relatively simple, compared to some of the pain-in-the-butt monsters in MR1. All it takes is a little skill, and a magic mirror.

In the expedition to the snowy lands (boy, I have a marvelous head for names, don't I?), there are several secret pathways, leading towards the 'back' of the area. Behind an enormous statue, there is an almost untouched altar. This is where you can find the magic mirror, as well as several other important and valuable items, such as the fire stone. Once you have the mirror, there will be an invitational to learn how to make the magic monster. I actually found that fighting the magic monster here was easier than fighting a lot of the invitational monsters.

Once you've gotten through, you'll be told that breeding a pure monol and a pure gali, using the mirror, will give you your magic. Thus... do it.

Note: I haven't got a lot of good things to say about a magic monster, since I didn't do a lot with mine. They're strong in several areas, but I never found they stood out hugely in any of them. Their attacks are a hoot, though.

I raised three Magics, but sadly two of them were lost in my Great Crash. The first two were Voldo X, a Naga sub-type that looked utterly wicked, and another guy whose name I can't remember that was a Plant sub-type, and since the game itself suggested that he looked like a superhero, I raised the two as sort of "archrivals" in my mind. After the Great Crash, I raised Mr. Bigg, the mystery mix Magic that you get off of No Way Out by Puff Daddy and the Family, and he proved to be pretty powerful (all stats at about 450).
