Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher Advance 2 Archive (GameBoy Advance): Miscellaneous Q&A (Post New Questions Here): Stat problems in battle By Infernus on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 01:21 pm:
Ok, it's just as the title says, I am experencing some wierd stat problems with my Hooligan (Mogi/SP) in battle. At first I thought my stats were too high for my rank, crazy/stupid thought but you never know. That wasn't the problem, I moved up to A rank and the problem continued. This is what happened: By Kurasu Soratobu on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 01:54 pm: Sounds like your monster's got a case of anemia. Bring it to the hospital and have it checked out. By Infernus on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 01:57 pm: I tried that, no luck. Tried freezing it, moving it up a rank, going to the hospital, feeding it numerous things, all to no avail. By Kurasu Soratobu on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 02:00 pm: The only thing I can think of is that EagleEye and Satori might work like Foresee. Some stats go up, others go down. Other than that, I'm afraid I'm as in the dark as you. By Infernus on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 02:03 pm: I've had both of them on other monsters at the same time before and never had this problem, i'm hoping that it will clear itself up. :( By Infernus on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 03:22 pm: After many fights the problem seems to have gone away, I just hope this doesn't happen again. By Lisa Shock on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 04:28 pm: It wasn't stressed or fatigued was it? In MRA, your stats dropped in battle unless your monster was 'very well' beforehand. By Infernus on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 04:41 pm: It wasn't fatigued but it was pretty stressed, I would've fixed that but it doesn't like mint candies, nitro berries, or mint leafs which seems to drop the effectiveness of all of them(except mint leafs). I knew fatigue did that but I didn't know stress did, maybe that's what was wrong. Seeing as it's favorite thing is battle maybe that releived the stress. Whatever it was though, i'm just glad it's gone. By GoldenBoy on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 06:27 pm: The stress was what did it. Battle does relieve stress, but even if the monster doesn't like mint or berries, use them anyway. All it really means is a loyalty hit of 1 pt. By Dmonsters on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 - 03:28 pm: for me resting it will get rid most of my monster stress and thats it but it kinda suck cause of the loss of time in training By Infernus on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 - 05:28 pm: Yup, I won't rest to release stress because of that one facter ;). There is just one thing here that confuses me, that is: why do only power and life drop? As Kurasu said, this is a symptom of anemia, but as I said, I had tried the hospital and nothing was wrong. Normally if a monster is tired or stressed doesn't it lose a bit in each stat? If so, why don't speed and defense go down? By Thorr on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 - 06:46 pm:
Tiredness causes a drop in all stats. Stress causes the symptoms you are seeing. |
