Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher Advance 2 Archive (GameBoy Advance): The Shrine (Passwords and Unlocking): A Curious Occurence At The Shrine By John Hawley on Saturday, January 25, 2003 - 10:16 pm:
While shrining a few words today, I had something wierd happen. Using two different words, I created exactly the same monster with exactly the same stats and traits. By GoldenBoy on Saturday, January 25, 2003 - 10:30 pm:
This is another one of those phenomena that I've seen but not noticed if you get my drift. It's a good thing to note though. By Infernus on Sunday, January 26, 2003 - 03:15 pm:
I(rather GoldenBoy noticed...see Passwords and legends) have noticed that by switching the first letter of a word you switch the main breed. Also, by switching the last letter of a word you switch the sub breed. By Infernus on Sunday, January 26, 2003 - 03:18 pm: Oops! One to many howevers and according to what GoldenBoy says it was Bethegus who figured it out. Sorry about that. By GoldenBoy on Sunday, January 26, 2003 - 06:18 pm: And changing the last letter isn't always the key to changing subbreed BTW ;) By Lao Tse on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 - 06:21 pm: I even tried converting the letters into some number pattern to no avail. Of course, the real problem is that even with the pattern, the numbers behind it would still be needed By GoldenBoy on Thursday, January 30, 2003 - 06:18 am:
This has been rattling around in the back of my head, so I shrined up John's Golems and learned something. By John Hawley on Friday, January 31, 2003 - 08:14 am: Also, yet one more point about Nature. That it is random. Shrine the same monster three times and you may get three different Natures. I have an Allure that is Lazy, but the next time I used that password the Allure produced was Normal. So differing Natures doesn't prove or disprove this strange event... yet. By Infernus on Monday, February 10, 2003 - 06:05 pm:
I've noticed something in passwords that may or may not be new(I haven't seen it anywhere so here it is if it's new). We all know that if you change the first letter of a password you sometimes change the main breed. Now I have noticed a trend in particular traits that stay when you only change the first letter. By GoldenBoy on Monday, February 10, 2003 - 07:29 pm: By Kingcobra930 on Friday, February 28, 2003 - 01:00 pm: Mabye there is a code used by the creators based on an anchient theory that states everything in the universe is based on mathemtics in other words password could be algebraic expressions each letter and number being a specific trait to the monster being created so we would have to be creators of the game to under stand it. By Kingcobra930 on Friday, February 28, 2003 - 01:01 pm: Oh yeah I forgot you could also be the game to under stand it By GoldenBoy on Friday, February 28, 2003 - 10:54 pm: No need for a snotty answer KingCobra, if there is a logical breakdown to the password system, then it is worth working on. By Kingcobra930 on Saturday, March 1, 2003 - 05:55 pm: Sorry for that I didn't mean for it to be snotty By Reaper on Monday, March 3, 2003 - 01:36 pm:
i have an idea on how to get all passwords but i need some help because it is going to be very time consuming By GoldenBoy on Monday, March 3, 2003 - 03:55 pm:
ummm no? By Infernus on Monday, May 12, 2003 - 03:26 pm:
I found a rather interesting password MOO*DUDE(The star is any character/symbol). All characters/symbols give you a pure Gali but the stats vary, I wasn't watching the traits but maybe some had some. By Moonmonster on Tuesday, May 13, 2003 - 12:17 pm:
Just like Lava? By marhawkman on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 - 07:06 pm: Hmm. This is strange. I've noticed something similar with 99%POWER. It keeps giving me Truenos no matter what I change the first letter to. By marhawkman on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 - 07:07 pm: Um that and getting identical stats occasionally isn't common, but I've seen it rather often in my research. By marhawkman on Thursday, March 18, 2004 - 06:15 am:
Okay. I did more testing. What Moonmonster said is true. It appears to be true for ALL pre-set passwords, though. It still doesn't explain why I can't mutate 99%POWER though.
