I have started a chart for all of the descriptions of characteristics. If people post findings here, I can add them to the chart, and give them credit.

we're still missing a bunch of characteristics. I know about them only by seeing them on lists of gameshark codes. I'd like anyone who has passwords, or has earned them to post about them if they would.

I found a new trait by the doc that gives you traits its called inferno.My monster was 2 years old and she was a Dixie.

Tecmo began to post a list of traits yesterday. thanks to all of you (and torey for making most of the additions) ours is much better than their's.

There are several more traits out there, known to charkers but unverified for a legit game. Check your book for passwords you entered, check the coaches and the foes, convince Dr Kohak to perform unholy experiments.

Whatever happens, keep an eye on your traits. Try to track how they come and go, also test your combinations several times if they are older monsters. Unusual and rare traits can pop up this way.

Things we'd love to learn about:
Merchant
Statking
Rain
Dauntless

Statking raises each stat by 50 when you are in Battle. It's basically a better form of Dignity.

I don't know how specifically to get it.

No idea how to get them yet, just have seen them on foes.

How much would people like to see a list of Characteristics and their effects? I'd add a column to this table, but that's not really practical. Possibly columns to note how its acquired.

for example:

B= Born
S= Surgeon
E= Earned
C= Combining item

Trait	Effect	B	S	E	C
Dignity	Adds 30 to all stats in battle.			X

That would nicely combine alot of seperate posts and research. I would appreciate a table like that.

Undauntd: Doesn't get sad no matter how much it loses. I would list how I got it...but I saw it on an enemy monster.

Has anyone heard of the slamback trait.
I havent tested it yet but will shortly.

We only want traits that can be verified ingame without a codebreaker. some of them may very well be locked out of the american release but still available via codebreaker.

slamback is only for Hunter. i don't think you can actually do it. it makes counter attacks really scary bad!
