After I heard what Goldenboy had said to me in the False Alarm topic, I realize that you people are too harsh with me. Its just that I keep getting scolded by you guys. Lisa scolds me, Torey scolds me, and now Goldenboy scolds me. So I came up with a conclusion that I should just leave here...Besides Lisa kicked me out of the Chatroom, and I'll take that too as a sign that I'm unwanted.

sorry if i scolded you when you didn't deserve it.

please note, however, that goldenboy's point is not a scolding - it is a medical fact. surgery is so significant that scheduling it is never dependent on whether the patient is feeling pain from moment to moment. if surgery was indicated, it would be because of internal medical conditions in your body; not on how you were experiencing them on any given day.

Torey is correct. When surgery is scheduled in advance, and operating room is booked, and at least one surgeon, one anesthesiologist, plus several nurses and PAs are all scheduled to work and get paid. If the surgery doesn't happen, they will often demand payment anyway for loss of time.

I have heard of surgery being postponed if a patient is presented as unstable for the operation, like if they have suddently come down with terrible food poisoning, but, once a diagnosis is made that a condition exists requiring a proceedure, transitory lack of pain won't be the reason to cancel a carefully orchestrated proceedure.
