Bebe, our oldest cat, died this morning. Her kidneys were failing, and no medical hope remained, so we had her "put to sleep [death]".

Another link gone. The chain grows shorter.

I'm sorry about your loss Torey. This is the real definition of being a 'grown up', I think. Yes, we can stay up all night if we want, and eat cake for breakfast, but we also see our companions fall by the wayside on our path through life.

Torey I am very sorry to hear about this. I know I would be devistated if one of my cats died. Although I know that it is inevitable.

I am sorry for your loss Torey, I know how it feels. I lost Benson, my dog a few months ago, i am still not ready to get another dog. Anyway, i can sympathize, and i hope the rest of your family (including you) get through it with minimal suffering.

i have to say that i am very sorry for your loss torey. my cat that i had had for nearly eight or nine years was ran over about a year ago, my family and i took it pretty hard because we had it for so long it just seemed like a part of the family. and like everyhting that is dear to one, it seemed like it would always be there even though i knew it wouldn't and couldn't be there forever. so i too know the stinging pain of losing something close (even though it is impossible to really know what you are feeling since every one has there own personel feelings about it.)

i was very sad on saturday. posting here, and reading all of your kind words, has helped quite a bit. thank you very much for allowing me to open my heart to you.

in the meantime, my family decided that "if we brood over her too long, she will not be able to rest in peace". so they went out and found a new kitten for the luvullo household, a black and white male, named toby.

i am sorry too, torey, losing a "pet" is hard.

I'm sorry about your loss. I lost one of my cats due to some rat poison. I hope Toby has a happy life with you.
