in response to a question by rovest yakuto at tecmo's website, tecmo has revealed that emotions of the monsters are going to be a part of monster rancher 3. tecmo did not reveal whether this is similar to the form or style of the monster in mr2, or whether it is a totally new development.

of course, you always could tell whether a monster liked a particular drill, or food, or item in mr2. but my guess is that they mean a more extenxive role for emotions in the day to day raising of your monster.

to me this sounds interesting. i hope there are new, unanticipated challenges in mr3. any other opinions?

It could mean more challenge in raising. I would like that. In MR2, I don't raise depending on which drill my monster likes and it never really got in the way.
