something seems different about the site, but i cant quite put my finger on it...its...its...

oh yes! spinning discs in the left hand margin!

I was looking at the software for the board, and commented to my husband that the old file folders were boring. He said "I can fix that", and asked if I had a GIF of the MR disc. I didn't, so I scanned a picture, he edited it (re-sized, changed colors, animated) and viola! The grapic is 1 KB larger than the old file folders, so it takes an insignificant half-second longer to load.

I like it! If gives a more professional look ^_^...o0(I'm also relieved that I can't chalk it up to my inability to notice detail. Wouldn't that be embarassing :P)

*Watches the spinning discs* "OoooH...AhhhH..Pixie like" ^_^

It is pretty sweet. Though it gave me one hell of a scare. Thought I had a virus or maybe Fatarse came for his revenge.

This place can look soooo much more MR than the old board!

Neatling! Just what I needed after a hard evening of working on my Mother's DSL.

Very cool. Just a suggestion though. If you put them into a table you can organize it so that the links are middle justified to the images. Currently they are Top Justified and it looks a little weird to me. Anyway keep up the great work!

Thanks for the compliment! I try to maintain a balance between good design, and speedy loading - all the while being as low-tech as possible. We have members with really old systems using the site: one guy with an Amiga, another with his Sega Saturn....

Gah, stupid freaks like that are the bane of the web. As for what you can do about them, there its next to impossible to stop them. If you tell them to put them down, they'll probably just use more of them....

i wouldnt worry too much. the galooda site isnt too good. this one is so much better... it isnt even funny.

The only problem I have with the discs is that I can't tell what they are since thier so small. (Or it could be the fact that my vision sucks.)

In 800x600 screen resolution, they are over ¼ inch high. If your eyes are bad you may want to change your screen setting in Windows.
