I pre-ordered it at two different gamestops.
Mostly cause I want a backup copy.
I had pre-ordered one on Amazon but I might just re-route that to some friends of mine who would likely be willing to try it but are hard up on money right now.

To prevent people from going to Gamestop on 7/20/10 and making them upset because it's not in yet I would like to mention that this date is only the shipping date, it will probably NOT be in until 7/21/10, so call the store you reserved it at first to see if it is in yet.

Gamestop has an automated system that will call you the night before it releases. If you didn't get the call, it's not going to be in. And yes, Gamestop does have a nasty habit of listing the ship date and not the actual release date.

Well, I just pre-ordered two coppies of Monster Rancher DS today. This is be my son's first Monster Rancher of his own. ^_^

I'll be pre-ordering 2 copies this week.... :-)

Argh. Trying to wait patiently.

For some unexplained reason, my ebgames has delisted Monster Rancher DS. Anyone have any idea of where else I could preorder it?

Also, I'm extremely annoyed with how ebgames handled my e-mail asking why it was delisted. They basically repeated that it had been delisted rather than giving an explanation. Screw ebgames, there are plenty of other stores who will appreciate my business and not just patently ignore me when I ask them something.

Gamestop's new date for it is shipping on August 10.

Booo, it stinks that it keeps moving back. As a July 22 release it basically came out the day I get back from my Honeymoon and a week before Starcraft II, perfect timing! August...bleh.

I agree with Penguin... LAME! the game looked done, why do they keep pushing it back?? I KNEW I should have learned Japanese...

Why push it back? You could ask that of any game as just about every single one of them gets pushed back. It doesn't phase me at all anymore.

Its disappointing as I'm going to take a long 12 hour trip a week later after the previous release date.

But in the end, I'll just be happy to get my hands on it. I'd rather it be done when its done, in the end. I can wait for a good thing.

So the release date is August 10th now? Because on Amazon, it still says July 20th. I'm so confused....

Well, at least they didn't move it back a whole 'nother year. We've waited for over 4 years for another Monster Rancher game (dated from EVO). I think we can wait an extra 2 weeks for a decent game, right?
