Click the big red button on the website, then choose the large red rectangle at the bottom of the next page.

I just tried to enter my id/pw and it says message from webpage then a bunch of squares b id is that normal?

Did it look like a windows error message, a pop-up box? If so, that means that your ID works:

"Already, it is ID which applies to the preceding Î’ test."

The issue is that you are seeing squares instead of kana. You need to change your computer's language setting or at least go into your browser and change the character encoding. (View, Character Encoding, Japanese) You want to see Japanese writing on tabs and in forms.

It means they run the beta, see how it goes then run an online game, like the previous online game.

Those are the three dates it's for a few hours each time.

It's not that hard, if you use the google translator you can make an account without knowing Japanese.

No problem Zerker, Ruby Wish for step 2 (If that is when you input the Hiragana/Katakana characters) I found a list of Japanese characters and copy and pasted the code.

so if I click the login button on the webpage and then when it goes back to the beginning and it says logout instead of login i am registered right?

Yes that is right.

If you were part of MFO (Which I was) does that mean you can just log in when the beta opens, because I can log in to the website right now, but obviously, we have to wair for the game. So, do I have to be invited to play, or does my other account just allow me to play?

I signed up with a new account using my same account name from MFO and it worked so I think u need a new one because u can't have two people with the same username

Are we going to have to use the VPN thing or whatever again?

No idea. Last time the beta worked fine without it.

I thought that it needed the VPN or was that the open released game?

Both previous betas worked without it, it was just the official game. However, I specifically addressed this issue with the developers when I was in Japan, and I hope they do not use a lockout this time.

Sooo.. is this game fun even if you know 0 japanese?
I know it would be at the vary least frustrating occationally, but is it still able to be fun?

I suspect it will be fun and on the website they have buttons that have Japanese and English writing so maybe it will be like that in the game.

The former game was 100% in Japanese.

Yeah it was fun in the first one. If someone could make an english patch or a guide it would make things easier.

How do I install the game? when I hit the button after it is done nothing happens.

Hit what button?

You use the download game button to download it. You'll be asked where to save it.

You then go to wherever you saved it on your computer and double click to start the installation. My computer squawked because it was an unknown publisher, but I accepted it.

You'll see a window for Install Wizard, let that run. Then a window for Windows Installer, let that run. Each of those has one button on it, the CANCEL button. Do not click that.

The button I mean comes after it finishes and is just a bunch of random letters and symbols, it might just be an error

You need to reset your computer's language to Japanese.

Once Windows Installer starts the real install, you want to select the middle button, with an (N) on it for most choices. You'll be asked to accept, A, or decline, D, the privacy policy. You'll also be asked where you want the install, and you can choose standard or custom.

On the last screen the check mark means launch now, and the F stands for Finish.

Nevermind, I think it was telling me to restart my computer, My computer is having alot of issues so sometimes I can't read text boxes.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the game to load? This morning (8:24am - 9:30pm tokyo), I noticed there was a listing under 'World', so I highlighted it and hit 'start', and my mouse did the 'loading' ring, and the launcher disappeared....but the game never started.

I can't read the japanese textboxes, because I'm running Vista, but not Ultimate Edition. (I can read the website text, though)

It should be working tonight from 16:00 - 24:00 Tokyo time...

I'm having the same issue as SilverTwilight and I have tried at least 40 times and I can't start the game so maybe some people can't play, has anyone played yet?

I'll try to get up early tomorrow so I can try again, I think where I am it will be running from 5am - 1pm, so (if I can manage to get it to work) I should have at least some time to hang around in-game.

Yeah, it's only up and running during certain times.

Still having the same problem as before. I run the launcher, it updates, I enter my pw, hit start, launcher disappears....then nothing.

I checked my windows firewall to make sure it was being allowed through, I changed my display settings (which seemed to satisfy a textbox that kept popping up before), but still no game. I can't remember what I did last time, because I think I had a similar problem in the last beta, also.

What did you do to your display settings to make the window quit popping up?

In XP, you go to control panel and select regional settings. In the little box you select Japanese, THEN you go to advanced settings and also select Japanese.

I had to change the options in the game so that it matched my current resolution (as close as possible, anyway. I'm on a widescreen, so I set the game options to the max resolution). So if your screen is 1024x768, then you need to set the game to that, too.

Never made it into the game, the launcher would disappear without the client starting.

I wonder when the next beta test will be?
