I have been running tests on lifespans, as you can see in the FAQ section. As an experiment, I decided to raise a series of Mogis, and evolve them and test their lifespans. The catch is I don't have all 5 mogi breeds on CD (actually, I don't have all 5 subs for any breed on CD) so I couldn't test all the types, but I did several, and got the following:

Breedtypelifespan
MogiMogi/Morx4y 4m 3w
TigreMogi/Kalaragi4y 3m 1w
OffshoreMogi/Goat4y 3m 1w
BoscoMogi/Morx4y 4m 3w

Original BreedEvolved Typelifespan
MogiBosco4y 4m 3w
MogiOffshore4y 4m 3w
OffshoreMogi4y 3m 1w

So, it looks like a monster keeps the original breed's lifespan, and it also looks like evolution does not add/effect lifespan of monsters which have the same lifespans.

This needs more testing, and I am currently working on getting CDs for all 5 of a breed to test things further.

Interesting...I was kinda hoping that evolving would help some how but no, it doesn't. Great info, Lisa!

Great work! Now I just wonder if adaption can change stat acquisitions, which would allow for one to neglect a weak stat on monster A until the others were stronger, then adapt to monster B that has it strong in that stat and raise it then.... Like Planekung to Dakkung on Life and Defense.

Hard to say, and hard to test. If it's anything like lifespan, though, the monster will retain the original type's numbers.

Yeah, thats what it seems like, Lisa. So far I don't think anyone's been able to confirm anything changed save appearance yet, but I could be wrong. Well, and your Encyclopedia if it doesn't already have that monster in it.

When raising Halo, a few times she evolved into Night Flyer (i quickly reloaded), and each time she did, she lost the char Light Aura. So i think evolving you monter may cause you to loose a char that the monster you are evovling it into cannot have. It possible that each of the time Halo evolved and lost Ligh Aura, was just a coincidence, but i doubt it. I just thought this was worth mentioning.
