Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 3 Archive (PS2): Raising Methods: Method to get high stats (DMM's perfected method) By DigMoshMogi on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 - 05:33 pm:
This is a long slow method. Make sure you have the holy goblet, beaming rock, and aroma pot. You will only raise your monster the week of tournies and the week before the season changes. Other times you will raise a 'dummy' monster. Battle early in the offical battles to raise rank and skill sense. When on ventures use all 3 noisy halls and search the rare spots if you get a warning dont search unless you need saucer stone pieces or bits. I did this with a fruit. Always save so you dont stress out your monster or get failures. When a monster fails and is not 'full of energy' try another drill or rest. Raise untill your monster asks for rest. By torey luvullo on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 - 05:37 pm: so if you raise it on the 4th week of every month, into the first, you have to feed it before you can freeze it, right? what do you feed it? By DigMoshMogi on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 - 05:44 pm: I fed it every month whatever had a 4 in nutrition with the highest favorites. making sure you have high favorites may be good if you monster gets stressed out. I dont know if you have to feed it every time it may not benifit at all every time. I dont know if this is completely true but a 2 in favorites in the second stage on may make more 'greats' and successful drills. By DigMoshMogi on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 - 07:57 am: more on bottoming out stats. I would suggest bottoming out a good stat like speed an a tiger. this will make it easier to gain it back. I'm running into trouble with my mogi because int is the hardest to bottom out and raise others. This method will also get you high levels for techs in fact it was originally to max out techs for more on this check out the section 'more math from superbk'. By torey_luvullo on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 - 04:55 pm: dmm, we have talked about this in chat, but don't monsters suffer a penalty for training and/or venturing after being in hibernation? what is it about this method that allows you to overcome that disadvantage? By danz on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 - 05:00 pm: ya it does suffer the disadvantage, i dont think theres anything you can do... By DigMoshMogi on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 - 05:31 pm: yes it suffers a disadvantage but look at my monsters levels. you get around 1/5 or better than not freezing but you get 12Xs. in fact is the reason I started this method was to max monsters moves. I dont think this mogi will max but my next one may. the easiest stats to lower and raise others evenly are in this order speed, power, defense, intelligence. I found out intelligence is the extremely hard to do. By DigMoshMogi on Thursday, October 25, 2001 - 11:57 am:

I cant remember who right now. But he deserves credit for that. By torey luvullo on Thursday, October 25, 2001 - 07:06 pm: both john and berge are looking into ways of resetting, resting, and breaking failure chains By Aaron Guest a.k.a. My first Monster, a Lesione, had 400-350-600-450-150, and beat for of the top five. I gave it no special items except horns, wich didn't seem to affect anything. By torey_luvullo on Saturday, October 27, 2001 - 05:05 am: nope. i have seen no evidence that monsters receiving hearts get any lifespan boost. its been a while since I played but here is 3yr 3mo Migo By Lisa Shock on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 - 05:09 pm: By torey_luvullo on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 - 05:25 pm: By danz on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 - 08:43 pm: hey DMM, did he have a heart? BTW AWESOME STATS EITHER WAY, its just that without a heart that would mean that you could maxx one By DigMoshMogi on Thursday, November 22, 2001 - 12:28 pm: yes he did have a heart. this is like DP's MR2 method you can get high stats and can max. By danz on Thursday, November 22, 2001 - 10:26 pm: ya ya... its just if he DIDNT have a heart... well then itd be pretty easy to maxx him eh? this way just means that we need a LITTLE more work, and you have to remember most mogis (i think ALL actually) have like a C-B rank life (i THINK) so doing this with a monster thats got like an S rank life (probly a CP or something) you could probly max! By DigMoshMogi on Friday, November 23, 2001 - 03:34 pm:
I probably could have maxxed I will soon have a method posted in Q&A and it will yield higher stat gains. I did rest during most of its life but then I decided to reset if it was tired after ventures.
