Every one knows that most/some attacks are typed.
But has anyone done any reasearch into what each
type of attacks there are and what attacks are
typed.

An exaple of this is on pixie's they have the
attack wind lance. Obviously this is a wind
attack so would get resistance to wind if my
opponent had such. But not so obvious is things
like silky dance, what type it is,

Hmm, not really that I know of...

Ice
Wind
Water
Fire
Earth
Lightning
Heart
Dance
Beat
Hit

...are some I can think of offhand though...

I assume most types are in the strategy guide actually.

true, eon. right now i have no clue as to what it means for an attack to be of a certain type. except that certain monsters have characteristics that make types of attacks stronger, like lightning wisdom or earth knowledge. others have characteristics that make them more vulnerable to certain kinds of attacks as well.
