* = Power loss/gain may vary, or other losses/gains may exist By Lisa Shock on Tuesday, October 2, 2001 - 08:39 pm: Thanks, I'll move this to the FAQ in a few days. Tack any additions on, and I'll edit them in. By Barronbrad on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 - 06:42 pm: ran ran leaves can be +200 also By John Hawley on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 - 06:48 pm: Literally stepped on enough Ran Ran leaves one time to completely strip Kalaragi clean and have 300 left. Had to abort to save my mind. By Ray Gamer on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 - 06:52 pm:
lol, I've almost had that happen to me as well John. By Ryan_coke on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 - 07:17 pm: It really depends on the amount of cash I have on hand. By Ray Gamer on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 - 07:23 pm:
...personally I always have over 5k onhand, if I get lower than 2k I seriously start looking at what went wrong. By Crystal Pixie on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 03:44 am: I take the fruit. Clear the three noisy halls and also there's time left for a few searches. By torey_luvullo on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 04:08 am: early on i have been springing for the extract, just to make sure that i am not missing anything. By Barronbrad on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 04:36 am:
the fruit is nice when you go to the noisy halls, but at the start when your sense is at a low rank, you dont get much stat exp, so i just go looking for items for a few years, then start training when im gettin like 90 exp per hall
By Deior on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 07:19 am:
I usually buy the fruit. By Trickster on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 09:12 am: Deior, that's the strategy I usually use (doing the last search when you're low on ran anyhow), but if you really really want to do that skill practice the strategy can backfire on you, if you bump into something that takes up more than 50 ran or so, like a fight. By Lisa Shock on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 10:32 am: When a monster is fairly young, I just get the "smell" and head to one noisy hall and that's it. If I spend more, then they go to 2-3 noisy halls. I don't like getting dragged into random battles at under 6 months of age, and the risk of that happening, to me, isn't worth the chance of finding a few points up in a stat or 300g. By Crystal Pixie on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 12:43 pm: Oh, OK I'll take your advice Deior. In Morx After clearing 2 noisy halls(The one in the tree and then the one where you go forward from where you started) then head to my lucky item finding spot and then do the third noisy hall. By Anonymous on Thursday, October 4, 2001 - 07:15 pm: i found a way to save ran ran, dont know if any1 noticed this yet but when i train in the desert, i go directly to the 3 stacked rocks which is where a noisy hall is and grab that, then i immediately turn around and search the cactus behind it because it is so close, depending on how fast u can hit that u may only lose 70 ran ran on hitting the noisy hall and a search(for example if u hit the noisy hall at 597 ran ran, then immediately search the cactus while ur ran ran is at 566, then u will only lose 50 more ran ran, taking u down to 516 at the end of both searches, saving u 66 ran ran) there are a few other places u can do this 2 By SlapShotz54 on Friday, June 14, 2002 - 02:08 pm: characteristic changers can also be 50, 100, or 150 By Flare Reiketsu on Monday, June 17, 2002 - 11:19 am:
Yep. All your strategy are belo... screw it, everyones sick of that joke.
