One key into beating Monster Rancher Explorer, is collecting monsters. Levels 55-60, monsters are definantly a need to have. After completing stage 35 or 40, you get the monster keeper, which allows you to hold more then one monster. Search every stage for an object that looks like red wings. These take you to a bonus stage, that has many items, and 1 monster. Collect 4 disk fragments, and then come in contact with the monster. This should help a lot. My game doesnt let me select tower levels so I just gathered up 15 Galis to get through the basement.
