"All Monsters" v. "Breeders" - is there a difference?

Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher Card & Adventure Video Games: Monster Rancher Battlecard Episode II Archive (PSOne): Miscellaneous Q&A (Post New Questions Here): "All Monsters" v. "Breeders" - is there a difference?

as devout forumites have probably noticed, the format for listing the non-specific-monster cards is based on the book which you can open up at the start of a week, rather than the 'your cards' list that you use to reset your deck. the book just lists cards on various pages, in no specific order. the list divides the cards into two categories, 'all monsters' and 'breeders'. the book mixes these two categories up among the pages in its listings.

i can see the difference between special and environment cards. but i dont see any difference between all monsters and breeders cards - it seems like both types are placed into each category.

so my question is, as i'm revising the card values table, should i add an entry for whether the card appears on the 'all monsters' or 'breeders' part of the list? would that be useful to you as a player?

thanx for all input.

Okay, the difference is:

You know how each monster (without special cards like "nuts oil") can attack once per turn? Well, the "all monster" cards count as one of those attacks, it's just that any monster can use that skill card, as opposed to just one type of monster, like the monster skill cards.

The breeder cards, on the other hand, are for a fourth user - you, the breeder. So basically (if none of your monsters are KO'd) there are four units that can attack once each per turn. Each of your monsters, and you, the breeder.

So in other words, if you use the "blow away" card (an "all-monsters" card that a monster uses to not allow an enemy monster to attack), then you're "eating up" one of your monsters' attacks. If you then use "help," which is a breeder attack card, however, that just uses up the Breeder's turn, not the turn of any monsters.

Hope that helps. :)

That is exactly right Trickster. If your saving up guts for an environment card, be careful. If you use an attack like Help, your done for the turn. I ran into this situation once before I figured out the difference and it cost me the match.
