My son and I have been trying this erranty to get a Zan about 10 times now. We keep running out of life before finding the last couple hiding spots. The monsters we've been using have around 500 life. Do we need more then that?

Try getting life to 999. When Drilling at Kawrea in the fall, there is a 3x3 grid in the center area of the map which is able to generate hundreds of points of life and skill at a go. If you send your monster all three months, you should be able to hit 999 easily before the season ends and the map changes. Don't be afraid of using piles of honey shrooms and sea angels to keep fatigue and stress down so you can keep sending him without resting. This should solve your Errantry issues.

I think the problem might lie in the order you
look for the crystals. I have unlocked the Zan
with only around 500 Life.

Try following these directions:
1. Southeast corner (beyond the logs)
2. North-northeast (near the butte to the North of
the pond)
3. Northwest corner (beyond the logs)
4. Center of the map (North of the pond)
5. East (Southeast corner of the waterfall)
6. Southwest corner (West of the exit point)
7. Northeast (center area of the waterfall)
