Great contribution, but in the end it may not be accurate. Every individual monster (all 270) has their own starting traits. Traits are not specific to the main breed.

For example, here are Breeding traits for 3 Durahans -

Durahan/Durahan - Brawny
Durhan/Suezo - Brainy
Durahan/Pancho - Hi Defense

Yep, i've noticed it unfortunatelly :/
But maybe this list will be usefull when combining monster to get a specific talent from the sub:)

Talents can also be gained randomly similar to how techs can be gained randomly.
My Columbia obtained Warrior Spirit (Breeding Talent) randomly after being scolded for failing her training.

Warrior Spirit: Breeding effects for all parameters rise during training and drills, and buildup of both Fatigue and Stress is reduced.

Seems like I'm pretty lucky B)

Quote!:)
Got the same talent yesterday after a series of failures on drill!

By Damion Cross on Sunday, August 22, 2010 - 03:21 pm:

i think that is the most common one
i got it 4/5 times, the other time i got a tech

By Rahu on Sunday, August 22, 2010 - 08:27 pm:

I have never gained a Talent in any of my monsters' lifetimes.

I feel like such a failure.

By Shen the Keeper on Sunday, August 22, 2010 - 08:59 pm:

I'm talentless too.
Er.. my monsters are. maybe me too. >.>

By Damion Cross on Monday, August 23, 2010 - 12:00 am:

you gain new talents on failures....
so it is a double edged sword either way

fail and get a talent
win and get no talent

The only thing i've noticed is that i've got the Warrior Spirit talent on these monster that were higly trained ... ( average 700-800 on 4 stat at least ) but i really don't if this mean something...

By Thorr on Monday, August 23, 2010 - 05:06 am:

Warrior Spirit showed up for me after 3.5 years on my Hengar. I immediately locked it in though. =) It made a huge difference right away. My next 3 training drills were Excellent and he lost only 1 point of fatigue from doing hard drills.

By Rahu on Monday, August 23, 2010 - 08:53 am:

Does Cleo let you know when it happens?

I have had monsters learn a new technique when failing. Is it like that?

By Thorr on Monday, August 23, 2010 - 10:54 am:

Yup, it's the same. I learned mine after a drill.

By Lady Neptune on Sunday, August 29, 2010 - 02:30 pm:

I got Warrior Spirit on my pixie pretty early in life (about a year old), she was a book monster so didn't have very high stats.
