So, I get the "codes" for the Zodiac monsters.
I've tried to write them out (in both writing methods for creation). The drawing one seems to do nothing, the spell one, if I only use one letter, crashes my game for some reason.

How exactly are you supposed to be getting these Zodiac monsters?

If you don;t actually have permission to make them (i.e. - you haven't faced the 12 zodiac monsters and defeated them) then you are likely to fail. Where did you get the 'codes' from? The japanese kanji are not likely to work in the US version.

I've been beating them in my game. I haven't gotten them all yet. But each time I beat one, it shows me a kanji.

This doesn't exactly concern the codes involved in
unlocking, but I do know how to get Zodiac
Monsters (and other special breeds). I'm not sure
if it's exactly a glitch or an exploit or what.
I'm also sorry if this is redundant and everyone
knows it already.

Get an -ish monster, for example, Pixie-ish. If
you want to make a Vega, get any Dragon main
breed. When combining, make the main breed Dragon
the new main breed and the sub breed of the Pixie-
ish the sub breed. The sub breed is supposed to be
"?" but in the combining process, it looks like a
Pixie, so don't get confused. The resulting
combination is a Vega. This works for all special
breeds of monsters, including Poochy and the Golem
that looks like a Gundam. This trick works with
any -ish monster and it can create any unique
breed.

Of course, -ish monsters are created by fusing a
Main Breed and Sub Breed that are not compatible.

That's not what I'm talking about.
For instance, Zan has two ??? types:
FakeGraffiti, which can be made via "your" method (I've actually been doing that for a long time)
and Killer General, the Zodiac monster. I tried drawing the code...but It is really hard.

Zodiac Monsters cannot be acquired through combining. Normal Specials can be.

All 12 unlockable breeds have a Zodiac special.

You are making this unnecessarily complex, but the game does indeed have the Zodiac breeds. the problem is that there is bug in the method of generating them.

Same problem for me :/ The game crashes when i'm going to create a Zodiac Monster :/ I've beatet Vega (dragon/???) and got the japanese kanji, but when i draw it the game crashes on blank screen during the creation:/

Any suggestion?

That's exactly the bug we have been describing. The method is there, but it fails to finish. The monster book also contains them.

In that case I guess we're stuck with just Combining
to get the Zodiac Monsters until someone from Tecmo
says anything of somebody finds the key to unlock
them.

I take back what I said about combining for the Zodiac breeds. It can be done. I had MRA on the brain which does lock specific monsters. MRDS only locks breeds.

The trouble will be that there are 2 breeds that have more than one special - Dragon and Baku. Combining seems to only get you one of the specials so far.

Funny thing - I found the page in the Japanese Perfect Guide that says you can combine for specials. I didn't understand what it was trying to tell me before, but now it seems obvious...

I thought they removed 2 monsters for MRDS? Wouldn't
that be the second Dragon and Baku special?

The only ones I unlocked before I made a new game
were Vega and Pandibaku.

There are 4 monsters in the Japanese version that have 2 specials. The US version has only 2 of them.

I have found 3 secondary ??? Monsters. They are as follows Baku/? No. 75 Zan/? No. 189 Dragon/? No. 223 has anyone figured out a solution to the glitch yet?
