Silver is random errentry if I remember correctly.
Gold is Kawrea Volcano once every number of years.

Torr will also randomly offer to sell you one once in a while in addition to the rest of his stuff.

Back in Monster Rancher 1, I used to keep a monster frozen until I got another peach, at which point I'd thaw him out, raise him up for a few months and put him back in the freezer again until I found another peach.

Any reason this tactic wouldn't work here?

From what I can see, you can get a golden peach every 10 years from Volk Magma erranty.

The following are one-time Golden peach awards -

1) Win the Legend Cup
2) Complete your monster book
3) Get all the Zodiac monsters
4) Get a monster to rank SSS
5) Complete Holly's 4 tournaments(not sure on translation)

Silver peaches -
1) If your monster has a very high trust in you, you can occasionally find them in Errantry.

You can use 2 Gold or 4 Silver peaches.

Gold adds 50 weeks.
Silver adds 25 weeks.

Monsters, but nothing when my
Diabolus Rex Xenon/Xenon) reached SSS... I didn't
even get a Platinum for one of the
tournaments that has Platinum as the listed prize

Finishing the Zodiac Monsters means battling them all, not generating them all.

However, you would need them in order to get the full monster book peach.

Also note, I think the entry for "getting a monster to SS rank" may actually be "Get at least one of every main breed to SS rank." There is a breeder screen that shows you the highest rank you have achieved with each breed which is helpful in this endeavor.
