Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher DS Archive (DS): Monster Rancher DS: General QA: DEATH! By Shen the Keeper on Friday, August 6, 2010 - 11:43 am:
Can monsters die? Or do they get forced into being retired (frozen) ? By Thorr on Friday, August 6, 2010 - 11:54 am: By VenomousX on Friday, August 6, 2010 - 07:15 pm: Gonna sound horrible but I'm glad to heard that monsters die in this one. Had much more of an impact than just retiring them, too bad it doesnt seem to be used for unlocking any breeds. By JamesDH99 on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 - 02:20 pm:
Shen the Keeper: Yeah, it does have death, but Cleo tells you that By Shen the Keeper on Thursday, August 12, 2010 - 11:44 am:
Actually she seems to tell me that months before it dies. By Rahu on Thursday, August 12, 2010 - 12:06 pm:
Yeah I was able to get my second monster through the Rising Dragon after being warned that death was aproaching. By Shen the Keeper on Thursday, August 12, 2010 - 01:15 pm: I basically tested drill gains. Since they were still good I took a few calculated risks. (I really wanted the pheonix. I couldn't unlock xenon though.) By Lady Neptune on Friday, August 13, 2010 - 09:56 pm:
I actually got the "You should retire him" message several months before my Flazer died. I believe I got the message around summer 1003, and he died in the spring of 1004. (Don't remember the exact months). By marhawkman on Sunday, November 14, 2010 - 11:23 am: what resetting penalty? I haven't noticed one. Unless you mean the fact it always advances the calender one day. I use save+reset regularly when doing drill training. Getting only red-x tiles sucks. :( By marhawkman on Sunday, November 14, 2010 - 11:25 am: Oh yeah, Colua, (the Pixie/Piroro I menationed in another post) did a drill then beat the Gali tournament after I got the warning about nearing the end of her life. By marhawkman on Sunday, November 14, 2010 - 11:26 am: Wait... you mean if it dies the game remembers that after you reset? By Rahu on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 - 07:15 am: Not only does it remember it, it lowers the stats of your combinations with that monster forever.
