This is a temporary thread to show how to read the monster charts in the MFDS2 Complete guide. I will be moving the information to a more permanent home and format later.

Page 80 of the Guide has a set of labels for each section of the chart. I will use the same numbers here.

1) Monster's Book number
2) Main and Sub breed names and icons
3) Regeneration methods - ('O' if possible, 'x' if not)
a) Speech b) Drawing
c) Character Input
Character input has several possibilities -
x = not possible
Number range - Use a number of characters within the shown range.
Fish Characters - Fish Kanji tend to create Ogyo monsters
Combined Kanji - Foundfrequently for Zodiac monsters, refers to multiple kanji in a single box.
Value in brackets - Use that word specifically

If all 3 values are 'x', then you MUST Combine to get that monster (Typically Modoki monsters)

4) Monster Parameters
5) Growth Pattern (refer to chart on guide page 21)
6) Lifespan (rated in number of stars)
7) Starting techniques - The numbers listed refer to the technique charts in the Main breed listings.
8) Breed Trait
9) Battle Trait
10) Battle movement speed
11) Guts regen speed
12) Resistance to being pushed back in battle.
