With tournaments like the battle royale in MFDS2, some of us will probably end up raising at least a few extra breeds to compete at some point. While we're at it, we'd might as well start filling up the tech lists.

FORMAT: TECH NAME/RANGE (Long, Mid, Close)/TECH TYPE (POW, INT)/GUTS COST/LIFE DAMAGE (X, D, O, W)/GUTS DRAIN(X, D, O, W)/ACCURACY (X, D, O, W)/CRITICAL (X, D, O, W)

KEY:

LOW: X

AVG: D (type "\greek D" with letter in {} brackets, matching case)

HIGH: O

V.HIGH: W (placeholder due to lack of double circle; type "\greek W" with letter in {} brackets, matching case)

To get things started, here are some Suezo techs:

Spit/Long/Pow/24/D/X/W/O

Kiss/Mid/Int/45/W/X/O/O

Lick/Close/Int/20/D/X/O/O

This whole thing is already done for us at the Wiki. I was going to make the conversion of the charts to this forum. However, you are missing the Star rating. Techs do have Star rank above Double Circle.

I'll make a sample and post it in just a minute.

Here is a version of the Pixie chart.

I guess I have an issue with translating the Tech names. It's largely useless and take a lot of time. I really wish this board would accept Japanese. It would be so much easier that way. (My browser doesn't show any of the special characters here anymore, so it looks even more strange)

Oh, of course. I completely forgot about the wiki. That certainly saves us a lot of time, at least.

I think we should just use the English names of moves that have appeared in games past, while romanizing the newer ones. But you're already doing that, aren't you?

By Thorr on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 - 09:52 am:

No, I spent 30 minutes translating that chart. Why translate it when you don't see it in the game that way? Giving a technique a number or a name is interchangeably useful (or useless as the case may be) since you won't see either bit of info on the game screen...

By GM on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 - 09:56 am:

I see what you mean. Still, I think it'd be a good idea to translate the new names anyway, and for good measure, we could link them to a page or image with the Japanese name(s) (the latter when the complete guide is released).

Can someone give me a link to the technique list? I can't seem to find it on wikipedia(unless its a different website). I plan to get the game pretty soon.
