US Release?

Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher DS Archive (DS): Japanese DS Games Archive: Monster Farm DS: Misc. Q&A (post all new topics here, we'll make more sections later): US Release?

Is there any hope for it to be released in the US?
I read this post at GameFAQS and it seems like there is no hope.

Like the guy said in the reply, a form letter from low level staff doesn't mean a lot. The other respondent bases his comments mostly on platform MR games, and you can't do that when it comes to MR DS. They will more than likely make the judgement based on how MRA2 did on the GBA. Since that game did well, the chances are higher than you'd think.

Compared to some of the games I've seen done on the cheap for the DS that made it into US stores, I think a big company like Tecmo will pay to have an already made game localized for the US and let it out, since they will probably make money off it pretty quickly.

I guess I was just overreacting. I didn't realize how soon it's been since it came out.

This game requires more localization than previous MR games since you must Speak words for generating monsters. Most of the words that are reserved for specific monsters (60-70% of the monsters have a Spoken word for generating them directly) would have to be changed to something in english and the speech recognition would have to be tuned for english speakers. This factor could be the back-breaker for an English release. It may take too many resources to make it happen and cost more money than it will make.

We all hope for a US release, but you never know. I am playing the Japanese version because I have my doubts...

I hope it does happen. I'd seriously get a DS just for this game...

I really hope they release it here. I might just import it, my birthday is coming up so I might just get it and just get help from here.

Yeah...here's hoping. I've had a lot of fun with MR1, 2, 4 and the Advance games...especially MRA2.

But...who knows...
