IGN DS recently published this - "With the DS' in-built microphone, you can say hundreds of words to summon new creatures. Locations in Japan, the names of other Tecmo games (Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden and so on), greetings and more all have unique effects. What is more, the Tecmo rep at the booth said that there were plenty of hidden monsters in there that only the company knew about right now; players will really have to get creative to unlock them all."
So, I was wondering if the TECMO game names have already been tried? Speaking into my microphone is an issue, since I just started and can only play during my off-time at work.

I locked myself away in a bathroom and tried a few titles...
Solomon No Kagi - #13 (big doggie/Lesionne) Monsuta Faa-m - #28 (caterpi/durahan) Tecmo - #97 Mocchi/Mocchi Star Force (Staa Foss) - #169 (seuzo/tiger) Ninja Gaiden - #172 (seuzo/henger?) Dead or Alive - Locked for me Rygar - Locked for me Tsuppari Oozumou - #59 (Falco/Dragon)
I tried to say these in a japanese fashion..
I'd be interested to see variations here.

Ok, I got my combination names a bit wrong, but it's only because I don't know the icons yet.. A lot of these monster types are from MR games that haven't played. I played MR1 extensively, but never really got into MR2. I never got a PS2 (got married, had a family, could only get 1 game system and have stuck with Nintendo all along), although GoldenBoy offered to let me borrow his so that I could give MR3 and MR4 a whirl.
So, please forgive my temporary unfamiliarity with the main monster breeds. I hope to remedy that problem as I play the game.
