Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher DS Archive (DS): Japanese DS Games Archive: Monster Farm DS: Misc. Q&A (post all new topics here, we'll make more sections later): Monster Farm DS Official Perfect Guide By GM on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - 10:29 am:
It just so happens that Kaite Shabette Hajimeyo! Monster Farm DS Official Perfect Guide (yay, formatting!), published by Enterbrain, was released just a few days ago on the last day of August. According to its Play-Asia product page, it has a healthy 175 pages of content, possibly including item values and such. I can't really make anything out barring the number of pages and size format (A5). By Lisa Shock on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - 08:12 pm: By Lisa Shock on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - 08:52 pm: Ok, got it from amazon.co.jp they will ship tomorrow, as opposed to 5-15 days from now. They WILL ship books internationally, it's just games they won't ship. (also, your credit card needs to accept payment in yen -I used my paypal debit card) By GM on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - 09:10 pm:
Splendids! By Lisa Shock on Thursday, September 6, 2007 - 03:29 pm: Item has left the warehouse, should arrive in a couple of days! I will check the beaklon info as well as other items of interest. By GM on Thursday, September 6, 2007 - 04:51 pm:
Item values. Definitely item values. By Lisa Shock on Thursday, September 6, 2007 - 05:21 pm:
Ok, item values charts are usually pretty easy. By Lisa Shock on Monday, September 10, 2007 - 04:14 pm:
Got the book! I'm at work right now, can't post much, wait til tonight. By Lisa Shock on Monday, September 10, 2007 - 09:27 pm: I am posting the rares from drawings. Some drawings are simply fill in the squares type affairs, others involve lines drawn diagonally or curved in ways that do not entirely fill squares. I posted one of each type, let me know if they work for everyone! By GM on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 - 12:13 pm:
Great! I can't wait to read about the aforementioned data. Don't keep us in suspense for too long! By Lisa Shock on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 - 01:23 pm: Two rares, IIRC. I am at work, the book is not here with me. Longer reply tonight. By GM on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 - 01:34 pm:
Huzzah! By Lisa Shock on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 - 08:55 pm: One is ambush one is sky "u-i-do" which I am guessing means sky-widow, maybe. The others are the pure and the modoki, and that's it. By GM on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 - 03:57 am:
Hmm... well, I've never actually seen a Sky Henger before (MREvo), By Lisa Shock on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 - 09:20 am: Ok, I posted the pattern to make one. It's pretty easy to do, if you have Henger unlocked. It's dark blue with silver accents and looks like a jet sort of. By Lisa Shock on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 08:04 pm: BTW, anyone with a paypal account can use amazon Japan, just use the paypal virtual debit card. By GM on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 09:38 pm:
Good to know. By Lisa Shock on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 09:52 pm: It has something to do with touching a yellow crystal on the ranch itself after the year 2005. Apparently, there are two blue crystals both to the right of the barn and one yellow crystal, near the tree, on the ranch itself. I am trying to figure out how to 'touch' them. By Lisa Shock on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 10:04 pm: Ok, you can use a stylus to move around the ranch like on a venture. You can find items in blue crystals. You may also find a yellow one after year 1005 month 8, after touching it you have unlocked Beaclon. By Lisa Shock on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 10:59 pm: I unlocked it in the second week of the 8th month. I was able to get the rare Orchestron at the shrine thereafter. By Lisa Shock on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 11:10 pm: I should add that I sent two different monsters around every week from Jan/4 til I got it on Aug/2. It MIGHT have to be unlocked in august, not certain. Just venture on the ranch til you find a yellow crystal. Also, the income from the blue crystals comes in very handy. By GM on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 11:18 pm:
Well, how about that? Right under our noses. By Lisa Shock on Sunday, September 16, 2007 - 09:15 pm:
I added Kagemusha and a drawing to get him. By GM on Sunday, September 16, 2007 - 09:45 pm:
You know, that makes too much sense. By Thorr on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 - 08:41 pm: Confirmation of Beaklon - I couldn't get it in July, but I could get it august. The real pain in the butt about beaclon is getting your monster to actually pick up the yellow crystal. The crystal is behind the tree. When you attempt to tap it, it's so close to the menu that you end up hitting the End option. Even if you get that out of the way, there is a very small tappable area that will actually get your monster to acquire the crystal. But, once you do, a Beaklon flies to your Tree and lands there. Once the event happens, Beaklon is unlocked at the shrine. By Lisa Shock on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 11:38 am: I will add that I had the same problem with being close to the menu/tiny tapping area. By Thorr on Friday, October 12, 2007 - 05:11 am:
Got my copy of the book now, too. Huge thanks to my benefactor! |
