Interesting. I slated a Worm/Pixie over from my Monster Rancher 1 'breeding' file (full of monsters that are pulled right off CDs for the sole purpose of slating) and started to raise it for peach-getting. Never been raised, never bred with anything, and yet it was getting the +1 bubble on the Parepare Errantry.

Is this something anyone else has experienced? Is this something that the worm/pixie gets, or onlyaslated one? Or are there other, hidden bonuses to slating?

Well, I do know that you get higher stats.

I did an experiment taking my CDs that made the same main breed in MR1 as MR2 (they are very rare) and shrined them in both games, then took the one from MR1 (straight from the shrine to the freezer) and slated it. It had far greater stats as a slated monster than the same CD made in the MR2 shrine.

I also followed a monster which I maxxed out in MR1 and how it shrined, year by year, as stats in MR1 rose. There it appears that raised monsters with higher stats do slate with far higher stats than any CD can produce. (Although combining can make better stat composites.)

It's all been posted. (There was no effect of the number of techs, they seem to be set.)
