I know this is in the wrong place but i was just so happy when i got into the hall of fame. I went to post my succes but could not find any HOf in the new site. So i thought i'd post both my succes and a new theory here.

My 1st gen hot off the wooden doll, ducken has beat Pokitora in the legends cup and become my first hall of famer!!! He was the first ducken i ever raised and totally slaughtered the one eyes white cyclops. Pokitora started the battle with a telekinesis attack and cut Fierce's
life in half. Fierce used a bound stamp and knocked Pikotora down to a quater of his life. Two tail assaults later another bound stamp finished the white suezo and boosted Fierce into the Hall of fame. Here are his stats.

Name: Fierce
Result: 59/ W:51, L:8, KO:39
Forte:Frantic beam
Attacks: Flutter slap, Beak thrust, ducken dance, suprise, bound charge, bound stamp, bound, eyebeam, bombing, missile, falling beak, frantic beam.

Now this brings me to my second point. I had to use bound 50 times to get bound charge, and bound charge 50 times to get bound stamp. I only used frantic beam maybe 30 times. Since he was first generation he cannot have used frantic beam in earlier generations and the last move he used was bound stamp. I think that the forte move is the move you used most in one go. I used forte beam constantly until i wetn on the errantry for bound stamp. However i used bound and bound charge at seperate intervals with other moves inbetween. This is just a theory and i have no concrete proof but it is the only way i can see it working.

There are a couple of forte theories out there, including:

1. Most Uses

2. Most KOs

3. Most 1 Hit KOs

4. Best

5. One used in most battles. For example if you battled 5 times, and you used Stab once per battle and Belly Punch 5 times in every battle except the last one, then Stab would be your forte.

I believe that the forte would have to be the most uses theory. Some of my 2nd & 3rd generation monsters have forte of techs that I didn't use when I trained them but because of the "tech usage count" that is carried over from your previous monster when there is no main switch, it still counts for that monster. That is why in next generation monsters the tech chains dont seem to take that long to unlock.
