Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 2 Archive (PSOne): Raising/Training Tips: Argg How can I tell what stage my monster's in? Help? By Wolvie on Friday, April 21, 2000 - 08:49 pm:
Okay I know that they have three stages. baby, adolescent, and adult and that you are supposed to be able totell by their growth but for the love of god I can't tell the difference. Maybe its because the growth is so slight or I jsut totally miss it, but I've raised monsters to old age and I can't see anything. I'm using DP's method to raise my 7mo. old Leziena. Can someone tell me approx. when it'll be in next two stages? By torey_luvullo on Friday, April 21, 2000 - 09:54 pm: the first to the second is the easiest, imo. find a spot on the stable and keep track of it. also, find the stat your leziena likes best and least. the first should be 3-6 in stage one, the second will be 1. if you have any doubts, train her a week in one of those stats. if her good one suddenly gets you9-12, or her bad one gets you 3-5, you will know you've advanced a stage. I think the growth is easiest to detect. That is the way thay I learned it from the other board. I really wish that I could remember what the post was called in case it is here. The way that I look at the change in growth is when you feed it, see how tall it is compared to the building in the background. Find a line or something like that on the building to use as a "mental measuring stick". I think a Leziana is a Durahan/Pixie, and I can't remember my first Durahan's life stages (wasn't using methods then), but I used a first gen Durahan (Lancelot, my 1st HOF'er) and a second gen Phoenix (Torch) and got a Garuda (Durahan/Phoenix) and used The Man's method. Here are his life stages and age at each one: End Stage 1 at 3 yrs 1 mos; End Stage 2 at 4 yrs 11mos; End Stage 3 7 yrs 5 mos; Permanent Freezy Pop Time: 8 yrs 6 mos. I don't know if your Leziana will live quite that long. Durahans do have good lifespan, but Pixies typically do not. That sub-breed will shorten it's life span I would venture to say. I'm not familiar with DP's method, but I do intend to try it soon. Another raised under The Man's method was the Bajarl you get from the Magic Pot: End Stage 1: 2 yrs 0 mos; End Stage 2: 3 yrs 8 mos; End Stage 3: 5 yrs 5 mos; Permanant Freezy Pop: 6 yrs. 8 mos. As you can see, there is no definitive answer as to how long each life stage lasts. It becomes so complex with generations, sub-breeds, etc. I have seen all this info posted before, and these guys that have pioneered studies in to life stages have crunched enough numbers to make your head spin. Good Luck with your Leziana. Post her stats beginning, end, and stage to stage when you finish DP's method.
