Well, for a moment let's think about this. When you use a hare chip you get grit on the new offspring right? Well say the hare chipped monster now has grit. Now you freeze it and combine it with another monster, but this time you use a mew chip, and get another special ability. But does that grit reamaine part of your monster or is it erased by the mew disc chip??? What I'm trying to say is if you keep combining monsters with disc chips, will they always have that little extra something, or does it fade way as generations past. I will try to examine this soon, but any knowledge of this now, could save some time. Does anyone know if the affects sty or fade away?

someone looked into this a long time ago, back on b campbell's board. their question was about the +1 that some disc chips give, and, iirc, the answer was your monster could not have more than 3 +1's at a time - more than that didnt carry over. whether or not this applies to battle specials as well, i cannot say.

Strange that you mentioned it; cuz my Ragnaroks Bahamut (5th generation ) was born with 4 battle specials ( will, guard, power and fury ); and all of his predecessors ( if I remember correctly ) had one or 2 of these each.

I have seen some monsters do a special called 'real'. What exactly does this do. I also would like to know what fury and will does.

Phoenix's seem to be born with two abilities
Grit
Power

All the Battle Specials are listed somewhere on the board (can anyone tell him where?). Suffice to say, Real shows up on any Joker main-type or sub-type. It happens when you've almost finished the enemy up, and radically increases your stats (except Life) and guts regeneration. However, if the enemy isn't down before Real wears off, the stats plummet far below their normal values, leaving the Joker monster in a very bad position.

Are you sure Phoenix's have Grit? My current Phoenix has never used Grit yet and he is about 3 and a half years old. Also, Dadge never said anything about him giving up until the last second.

I agree with Ewoo. Two of my Phoenixs lived 6+ years and never used Grit.

Strangely enough I've had first gen Phoenix with grit and without grit.

Phoenix mainly, meaning not from CD, does not have Grit.

MP...it's obvious it was the CD that gave it that bonus.
