Well, more and more frequently now, I see unusual claims popping up here on the board, and, more frequently in chat regarding CDs, and what is possible to achieve in shrining.

I'd like to clarify our official postion on this situation. Knowingly posting incorrect or misleading messages is a bannable offense. Please remember, we have been playing the MR games a long time. I got MR1 as a pre-release beta copy in May of 1997. Anyone with a claim far outside the current knowledge base has the burden of proof squarely on his shoulders. They must post the relevant subcode, mail me the CD, or provide enough info that a Moderator is able to purchase and confirm the CD existence. "I lost it", "It broke", "I loaned to a friend who won't give it back", "I can't read it", are all not acceptable replies to calls for proof. And, I invite any user to feel free to demand proof (meaning a second person's verification) for any suspicious claim.

Claims we believe to be patently false, yet pop up weekly with no proof include:
CD's with a monster having all stats over 300
CD's producing enemy monsters (Blue Phoenix is popular.)
CD's producing Gentlemocchi
CD's producing previously unknown monsters

All of this behavior is simply a waste of everyone's time. I would like to ask people to help the moderators by asking for proof anytime one of these claims arises. Thanks, it would really help.

Please note, I am referring to the NTSC/North American version of MR2.
