Mystery Mix Monster Biography – Chapter 2 – Pixies

(Chapter 1 is about how the DexDrive is used to find this info. And I'm still playing around with the format for this. The mod's should probably move this over to the ??? section, but let play around with tableing the info first.)

Pixie (Pixie/Pixie)

Poison (Pixie/???)

Guts Regeneration Rate: 3.333 guts per second. (9 hexadecimal value)
Life Stage type 4: Same as Ducken, Durahan, Joker, Mew and Undine sub’s. (03 hexadecimal comparison)

Pesmerga and I decided that this was probably a modified Lilim (Pixie/Joker). Basically a Lilim with an extra 20 weeks lifespan. The guts regen and life-stage type bear that analysis out, they’re identical to a Lilim. It breaks down a little when you look at battle specials. A Lilim starts out bad or worst, so of course both have the Anger battle special. In addition, both share the Real battle special like most Joker sub-types. However, the Lilim has Ease, a common Pixie battle special while the Poison trades that in favor of Grit. Things get even hazier when +1 attributes are compared. The Poison has a +1 on the Mediate drill unlike the Lilim which typically has no +1 gains for drills or errantries.

Summary: A pretty good Pixie with good stats gains and potential. The extra Pow based technique (heel raid) is nice, but since it’s Pow based, it’s not of much use for your typical pixie.

Base Lifespan: 480 weeks.
Guts Regneration Rate: 3 guts per second (10 (0A) for hexadecimal comparison)
Life Stage type 4: Same as Ducken, Durahan, Joker, Mew and Undine sub’s.

It’s pretty obvious that The Kasumi is a slightly modified Janne (Pixie/Durahan). Exactly the same stat gains, guts regeneration rate, and life stage type. It has the same +1 on the domino drill and the typical Ease battle special. Unfortunately, the Kasumi doesn’t get any extra attacks like the Poison or Mia. The differences are slight, but all for the better. Namely an extra 40 weeks of lifespan. It would be interesting to see if the Kasumi gains the stress reducing effect of Nuts Oil that a normal Durahan sub-type enjoys.

Summary: When compared to a normal Pixie, the Kasumi takes a slight hit in Int and Spd gains. That’s more than made up for by almost two extra years of lifespan, and better gains in Lif, Pow, and Def. The only downside is a lower than normal guts regen rate.

Life Stage type 4: Same as Arrow Head, Bajarl, Centaur, Gali, Hare, Henger, Jell, Metalner, Mocchi, Monol, Zuum

I must admit I’m at loss for an easy pixie type to make comparisons to here, so we'll just use a pure pixie. The Mia has 20 extra weeks lifespan when compared to a pure pixie. She also has better Lif and Pow gains and +1 on Study and the Parepare errantry. Other advantages include both the Heel Raid and Kiss techs, Hurry and Vigor battles specials, and the awesome guts regen of a pure pixie.

Summary: Of the three mystery mix pixie’s, Mia is probably the best all-around choice. While it doesn’t have the phenomenal lifespan of a Kasumi, it has everything else going for it.

Next: Well I'd love to do these in order, but the CDD code for Moo (Dragon/???) hasn't been posted yet, so I can't burn my own and my copy of Mellow Gold is the wrong pressing. I'll proabaly skip ahead to Beaclons next, but that'll be another day and another chapter. Comments and questions are welcomed.

One thing I really wonder about is the guts regen of the Time Noise, I never actually got to talk to Monster Fenrick about it again.

I didn't get a chance to do the full treatment on the Time Noise, but I did peek at the guts regen: It has an 08 in the guts regen register which translates to about 3.75 guts regenrated per second. For a Naga, this is blazingly fast. Naga's usually regenerate at 2.727 per second while a Metlaner regenerates at 5 guts per second.

I'll try and do the full treatment for Time Noise and the three Durahan's tonight.
