I just combined a Death(henger) and Puffball(mocchi) it was a fine comination. I got a mocchi that has 6 moves. Roll assault, Petal roll, Head butt, Slap, Diving press, and Giant press. Missing something here?? He has Diving press....and Giant press, but no PRESS!! Is that supposed to happen?

It happens, sometimes. I've never had it happen, yet, but I expect that it will happen someday. Other people have mentioned it as well, though. Most notably a pixie that had Megaray and (I think) Gigaray, but no Ray.

Well getting moves from combining happens all the time, but getting the second and third move in a series without the first is kinda weird.

I combined a good natured rock suezo with a good natured tryant and got a good natured big blue that started off with a evil tech!why is that??

dont know why that is, but if the tech you are describing is thwack, it has happened to me a couple of times. my [absolutely unproven] theory is that a good combo results in a fairly high number of carryover techs, and the game just takes the first [5,6,7] off a predetermined list, and for golems, that list just happens to include thwack, irrespective of its, or its parents, natures.

You may have somthing there, torey. When I got my Undine, Belle, I'd combined two fairly high-level beasties, both with a fair amount of tech between them, and got an Undine that hated fish (yikes!), loved to fight (!), was Best natured, and had Whip, which is an Evil tech. Go figure.

Now, if we could only figure out which order the techs come out...

Most Monsters, if well-combined, will start off with one of each kind of move (Heavy, Withering, Hit, and Sharp, but not Special). Since many monsters only have Withering techniques as Baddie moves, they'll get that in their opening list regardless of moral alignment.

Oh yeah, I've also gotten an Undine with Ice Arrow that never learned regular Arrow.
