Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 2 Archive (PSOne): Monster Types: Tiger: My champion tiger

i finally raised a champion tiger. you don't see a lot of threads talking about great tigers, unlike the more popular mr2 monsters. they have a relatively short lifespan, but then, so do pixies. there is no reason why tigers should be so neglected.

i present, for your approval, deed, the mono-eyed. [yes, jello, i named him after my favorite character in "journey of the jells"] he was the product of a combo of a champion frozen gaboo and an a level mono-eyed. he started with good ski [about 275] and an 1100 composite.

i used, for the first time, the celebrated "c. goat" method. it is set out at monster-rancher.com, in the mr2 advanced topic board. it did well in maximizing the potential of this tiger. tigers not only have a short lifespan, they also seem to have a short prime. judicious use of peaches extended this as much as i could.

with no further ado, here is deed:

went undefeated - beat poritoka - 47 out of 51 kos. a joy to raise; a joy to battle. i used blizzard, ice bomb and bolt[the close in lightning attack - i may not be remembering the name right] and dominated the opposition.

btw, the 983 in ski was originally 972. that was a little combining experiment i did, the result of which is posted in the breeding/combining section.

All hail Torey! All hail Deed! I _adore_ tigers. I'm planning, after I do some monster-beating to get my rare monsters bred, to raise a tiger and see if I can get it all the way. I have a tiger/monol and tiger/naga waiting to be bred. Short lives, but good promise of stats.
